  • Haramo Wine - Haramo Wine (原茂ワイン) began winemaking in 1924 as a cooperative winery in Katsunuma Village, Yamanashi prefecture. In 1973, it became HARAMO WINE CO., INC. This small, family-operated winery focuses on making wines from local varieties, especially Koshu grapes grown in the Katsunuma region. They also cultivate international varieties like Chardonnay, Merlot, and Syrah in their own vineyard to produce high-end wines.

  • Lumiere Winery - Lumiere Winery (ルミエールワイナリー) was established in 1885 and has been family-owned for 130 years in Yamanashi prefecture. They have successfully produced high-quality wines, winning medals in top European competitions since 1967. Their award-winning wines are showcased in their restaurant and shop.

  • Mars Yamanashi Winery - Mars Yamanashi Winery (マルス山梨ワイナリー 本坊酒造) began as a shochu maker in Kagoshima in 1909. They established Mars Yamanashi Winery in 1960 in Yamanashi as a new venture.

  • Huggy Wine - Huggy Wine (大和葡萄酒株式会社) has been caring for a 130-year-old grape tree named “Koryu,” which is a designated cultural property. They use Koshu grapes that originate from such historic trees.

  • Grace Winery - Grace Winery (グレイスワイン 中央葡萄酒) has a team of sommeliers and experienced staff in viticulture and winemaking who warmly welcome visitors. They do not offer tours of the vineyards or winery, focusing instead on their core business of grape growing and winemaking. Harvesting is done by hand with meticulous grape selection.

  • Marufuji Winery - Marufuji Winery (丸藤葡萄酒工業) was founded in 1890 when the founder built a modest winery in his garden. Initially producing sweet wines, they have since shifted their focus to dry wines to align with global preferences.

  • Manns Wines Katsunuma Winery - MANNS WINES (マンズワイン勝沼ワイナリー) has vineyards and wineries in Yamanashi and Nagano prefectures. For over 50 years, they have been dedicated to producing great wines from high-quality grapes suited to Japan’s climate, optimizing the unique characteristics of each grape variety.

  • Sadoya Winery - Sadoya Winery (サドヤ ワイナリー) was established in 1917 and is Kofu’s most historic winery. The family anticipated the westernization of Japanese eating habits and learned French to import wine grape trees from France. The winery prides itself on growing the same grape varieties as those in the Bordeaux region.

If you are a wine lover, Katsunuma Koshu region wineries are a must. The Koshu region has a lot of great wine makers and we have chosen our top 10 for you to pick from to visit. Your guide and driver can bring you to 3 to 5 wineries on this tour! This is full day tour, so you can relax and enjoy your wine. Have fun “Winery hopping”. We hope to guide you soon! Maximum 7 participants per tour. If you are travelling with children ages 0-6, please inform us when you make the reservation. No more than 2 car seats available for each vehicle. Infant child seats may not be available.
