  • Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park - No visit to Kota Kinabalu is complete without a trip to the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. Home to 2 beautiful islands, the Marine Park is located just about 15 minutes away from Kota Kinabalu’s Jesselton Point jetty. A great experience - We did the 2 Islands Hopping Tour in late June and had a fantastic time. The guide communicated with us well, giving us a time and place to meet for pick up. We were picked up from our hotel doorstep right on time, which made it all very easy for us! We spent all morning at Sapi Island and were given a buffet lunch - it was so tasty, lots of seafood and Malaysian curries. Snorkels we’re provided and we saw some beautiful fish, starfish and coral. However, the area we were allowed to snorkel in was very limited. Then we travelled to Manukan Island, just a short trip from Sapi. We were not provided with snorkels here, but we’re able to explore the beach and swim. It was very picturesque. Overall, the trip lasted 7 hours and we were dropped back to our hotel doorstep. We highly recommend this tour if you are visiting KK.

Mamutik and Sapi better.. - I personally feel Manukan is a busy and crowded island, too many people. If you wish to be more quieter, you should directly go Mamutik and Sapi is the best. Lesser people and less crowded. Beach are all the same, the more the people, it’s more dirtier.
