Unique cultural experience - Mayumi, our guide, gave us an excellent tour. She met us on time, provided us some detailed historical context on way to the auction, took us behind the scenes in a number of places, recommended where we could eat…really pleasant experience and well worth the early wake up!

Unforgetable Trip to Toyosu Market - One of our favorite places we visited in Japan was the Toyosu fish market. Thanks to our wonderful guide Emi the trip was truly unforgettable. Not only was she very knowledgeable about the history and details of Toyosu but she was also able to acquire tickets for us to see the tuna auction from up close. This observation point would have otherwise been impossible for us to get to since you have to win the tickets in a lottery. After the auction was over, Emi showed us a delicious and authentic sushi restaurant on the other side of the market. The sushi was very fresh and tasted amazing. After that we visited Tsukiji market, where we saw lots of different stands selling all manner of different food, Japanese pottery, knives and other things. Emi knew the market very well and could give us excellent recommendations for everything. We highly recommend a tour with Emi to anyone who loves sushi and would like to see the tuna auction.

Great experience! - The tour was absolutely wonderful! Emi, our guide, was extremely well-informed about the Tuna Auction and the fish market, and I gained so much insight. We were fortunate to win a raffle that allowed us to access the auction floor and witness everything up close. The entire experience was thoroughly enjoyable. After indulging in an incredibly fresh sushi breakfast at Toyosu market, we also explored Tsukiji, which is brimming with traditional markets, street food, and charming shops. I savored some matcha ice cream and browsed through several porcelain stores. I highly recommend this tour. Although you have to rise early, it's definitely worth it!

Unique, Must-do Tokyo Tour with Knowledgable and Friendly Tour Guide - Our tour guide, Yumi, was fantastic. Not only is her english great and easy to understand, her knowledge of Toyosu and Tsukjii (and Tokyo itself) was both helpful and impressive. Yumi was extra patient with us as we got distracted shopping in the local markets and she also helped us make purchases (including an engraved cooking knife). Yumi also helped us select which food vendors to order food from and the sushi was as good there as it was at the high end restaurant we've been to. We highly recommend this tour as the fish market is unique to Japan, and we highly recommend this tour specifically with Yumi (who happens to be running the Chicago marathon in Oct). Thank you Yumi!

Great Fish Market Tour - Our family of 4 (2 teens, 2 adults) really enjoyed our tuna auction and fish market tour with Emi! She knew exactly how to navigate around both the new Toyosu Market (which is huge) and the original Tsukiji Market which can be crowded and has many stalls. We had a great traditional sushi breakfast in the market. Definitely an entire experience that you can't get anywhere but Tokyo! One thing I wish I had known was that Trip Advisor sent us a notice in the app (no email) that gave us about 24 hours to reserve tuna auction tickets for the first floor. I completely missed it. We still had a great experience watching the auction from the mezzanine and Emi explained everything, but be on the lookout for communications in the Trip Advisor app!

Interesting but not close enough to the live activities - Friendly and well prepared guide (Emi). However not as interesting as the visit of the old market (before moving to Toyosu) since big part of the visit is only possible from visitor corridors with loudspeakers transferring the sound from the auction).
