Amazing experience - What an amazing experience. Definitely a once in a lifetime look at a different side of Tokyo. Nobu , our guide was fabulous. So knowledgeable in all aspects of the market. If you want something a little different, one which not many people do, go for it !

Tokyo fish markets great morning adventure - I was nervous about meeting our guide at the market. It would be dark out, a huge new city for us and the language barrier with cab driver. The guide was waiting for us at the exact designated time and provided a phone number in advance in case of a miscommunication. It went so smoothly! The guide was very knowledgeable and answered our many questions in the new market ! It was an enjoyable morning! The highlight in the old market was our guide Noba’s direction to the best tuna we had in our life! A wonderful experience and well worth the price for the tour.

Interesting experience - This is a great experience if you are brand new to Tokyo and looking for something unique to do. Process: - Guide will meet you at a designated meet up spot (your hotel or at the fish market subway station) Either way, you need to get yourself there... Our guide met us at our hotel and we took a taxi together. - The auction is viewed from a platform up above. You get a good view, but you are not on the ground. - It seems pretty much anyone can enter and watch. You just need to ensure you are there by 5:30 AM as things get started and move fast. All in all - that's it. If you know Tokyo, this would be easy to do without a guide.... It would save you a lot of money. Our guide was also kind enough to point us to a great sushi place that opens very early in the morning.
