- Our Lady of the Rocks - First stop, a 20-minute visit to the legendary island Our Lady of the Rocks. This is a man-made islet, built upon a crag that bore the icon of the Holy Mother Mary, and it houses a church that’s been built by seafarers and other locals to honor the graceful Mother Mary. It is a place where visitors can listen to the mystical story about the island’s genesis, as well as examine the many paintings, votives, and other art pieces inside the museum, attached to the church.
- Tivat Municipality - After we pass through the strait of Verige we enter Tivat Bay, and enjoy in its breath-taking views.
On our way, we are stopping at the ex-submarine military base which description we’ll leave up to you.
- Mamula Fortress - The very exit of the Bay of Kotor is guarded by the haunting Mamula, a fortified island that’s full of gruesome stories from past events like World War I & II.
- Blue Grotto - The whole adventure gets wrapped up with a nice dip inside the Blue Cave, a natural phenomenon that’s been created by waves crashing for thousands of years at the peninsula of Lustice. The name derives from the whole ambiance, created by iridescent lightning that manifests itself on the water due to the Sun’s radiance through small cave cracks.
- Zanjic - This is the part you’ve been waiting for. After we checked everything from our list of places to visit, we’ll approach Rose and drop you off to savor your time at the beach.
Rose is a hidden gem nestled along the picturesque coast of Montenegro. As one of the oldest settlements in Boka Bay, it is settled on Luštica peninsula. Foreign and domestic ships were supplied with goods at that time.
The name is derived from the Italian word “rose” meaning – rose. The location boasts the highest number of sunny hours throughout the year throughout the entire Boka and is characterized by the imposing Austro-Hungarian fortress, Fortress Rose. Ideal for divers, this destination is accessible by both land and sea routes.
Here you will find several restaurants that offer visitors a unique local experience. All the culinary delicacies are fresh, organically grown, and very tasty.
You may just relax and enjoy the summer charms and beauties of the Adriatic.
