Easy to see and do - The Old Town walking tour is easy to see and do. The town itself is small and not including the few hours inside the many historical churches and buildings, that actual walking in town and on the city walls was less than an hour. Highlights: we started into the Old Town through the southern entrance known as the Gurdic Gate. Walked along Craftsmen Street, which runs all the way from the southern gate to the northern River Gate. There are many shops, and we kept our tradition of purchasing a Christmas tree ornament here. Once at the northern River Gate, cross the bridge for fantastic views of the walls and ramparts of San Giovanni’s Fortress, also called St John’s Castle. Then, there was St Mary’s church dates to 1221. Followed by our favourite, St Nicholas’ Church in St Lucas’ Square. Inside enjoy the fragrance of frankincense, as you take in all its history. Outside, go over to the little St Lucas’ Church, built in 1195, and see more beautiful castle views. Pass the cafes with cats sitting on chairs, see the Lombardic Palace, and then Museum Square. Just before the square, you’ll see a small courtyard on your right that is home to the Karampana, Kotor’s only public well, dating to the 17th century. Once at the square, the elegant building with green shutters on your left is Gregorina Palace, which houses the Maritime Museum, which is worth a look considering Kotor’s rich maritime history and close connection to the sea. Next up is St Tryphon’s Square, with more stunning views of the mountains and ramparts above, is home to, in a clockwise direction, the old Town Hall, elegant Drago Palace, the Bishop’s Palace with its pretty courtyard, and beside it, majestic St Tryphon’s Cathedral. Take the lane that runs between the Town Hall and restaurant to the Square of Flour. Here you will see Pima Palace and Buča Palace. Take the lane on the other side of the square to the Square of Arms. Here you will see the splendid clock tower, Venetian Arsenal, the Town Hall, Bizanti Palace, and Prince’s Palace. Exit the Old City through the main town entrance, Morska Vrata or Sea Gate.

Nice but a bit disorganized - The tour itself is ok. The guide was very knowledgeable and an extremely kind guy. However, the communication at some point was not very good. They had to reschedule my tour (which I fully understand), but the instructions for the new date where unclear and changing, the phone number provided did not work and I had to join the group in a rush.

OK but boring with few historical details - Well..it was OK but there were very few facts...more talking about how many cruise ships come in and what they were called....the tour needs a quicker speaking guide with more interesting facts on the history of Kotor
