Additional Information

Join us for a journey across the Vrmac peninsula, a geographical boundary separating Kotor and Tivat with its tallest summit, Saint Ilija, standing at 760m above sea level. The expedition begins with a car trip to the Gornja Lastva village in Tivat city, which is where our hike commences. The initial stretch is of moderate difficulty, taking approximately 1.30 hours to ascend to Saint Ilija’s peak at a height of m above sea level. This vantage point offers an unparalleled view of the entire Kotor bay, showcasing its abundant diversity. Following a 30-minute respite, we’ll start a gentle descent through the Vrmac peninsula’s dense forest. Along the way, you will encounter abandoned military fortifications from World War I like the notable Vrmac fort, constructed in the 19th century by Austro-Hungaria. Post our brief exploration, we commence the downhill hike to Kotor city, treating you to stunning viewpoints throughout. The trail, constructed in the 19th century by soldiers, is somewhat narrow and winds in a zig-zag pattern for approximately 1.30 hours before culminating in Kotor city.
