- Aphrodite’s Rock - Travelers get the opportunity to explore the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite from a whole different prospective, by sea. There is a lot more than meets the eye from land, especially a number of nearby rock formation in the sea besides the Rock itself. For those who prefer to, we can land on the beach and they can also explore the Rock by land.
- Prolimnos Beach (Dog’s Beach) - The actual attraction is the rock formations both towards the west and also towards the east of this secluded beach. One can enjoy the view of White Cliffs very close to this pebble beach, as well as peculiar limestone rock formations towards Aphrodite’s Rock as well as magma related (dark brown or grey) rock layers that are related to the way the island was created (more typical of higher elevation on Troodos mountains), in the midst of limestone or chalky rock layers.

Our sit-on-top kayaks are perfect for beginners to enjoy a delightful exploration of Cyprus’s scenic coastlines. A major highlight of the journey is Aphrodite’s Rock, along with other impressive rock formations, such as the White Cliffs, which reach heights of 100 to 150 meters and are located west of Pissouri Bay. Apart from Aphrodite’s Rock, we will likely have the area to ourselves, accompanied only by water birds like seagulls and cormorants.
Maximum expected exploration time (pick-up from):
- Meet at the beach: up to 6 hours
- Aphrodite’s Rock kiosk: up to 5 hours
- Limassol: up to 4 hours
We can accommodate a maximum of six kayakers at any time, whether we provide a free ride or meet at the beach.
Since these are private trips, the distance we kayak on this ‘8-shaped’ route (typically around six kilometers) will depend on sea conditions, and the profiles and preferences of the kayakers. As always, if bad weather is anticipated, we will cancel the trip.
- The load on each of our single kayaks MUST be under 100 kilograms
- Kayakers should know how to swim. They must inform us before the trip of any health issues.
