Your time travel adventure begins in the classical era at Salamis. You’ll witness its destructed temples, the partially renovated theatre and other landmarks.
Following a leisure period for lunch, you’ll explore Famagusta, which is still guarded by well-preserved defensive walls erected by the Venetians hundreds of years ago. Your guide will point out attractions such as the fort and the Gothic church that was converted into a mosque. To conclude the trip, you’ll go on a foot tour in the deserted Varosha. The once-bustling seaside resort has been unoccupied since the Turkish invasion and only opened its gates to tourists in 2020. Walking through overgrown lanes dotted with decaying establishments with rusted windows and broken panes can feel quite surreal.
