- Kokkori Bridge - ZAGORI
A collection of 46 quaint stone villages, where the indigenous stone has been masterfully crafted into exquisite edifices and thoroughfares. Nestled amidst the rugged inclines of the calcareous peaks and the profound gorges that cradle them, they exist in natural synchrony. Our journey commences in the scenic valley of western Zagori, meandering through Aristi, while we marvel at the unfolding vistas. We pause at the River Voidomatis, renowned as one of the most pristine waterways in Europe, offering an opportunity for a bracing dip in its frigid waters for those who dare. Ascending to the hamlets of Papigo, we explore Ovires Rogovo, a series of natural pools within a slender gorge, followed by a visit to the hamlet of Mikro Papigo. Subsequently, we traverse a 1,090-meter pass to reach the heart of Zagori, where we are greeted by a breathtaking perspective of the Vikos Gorge at its most profound depth, nearly one kilometer. Here, we indulge in a modest repast featuring traditional pastries (such as spinach pies), fruits, and regional confections, before proceeding to Dilofo, a village that lies at the epicenter of Zagori.

ZAGORI - A collection of 46 villages sculpted from stone into magnificent edifices and streets. They stand proudly amidst the precipitous limestone mountain ranges and the profound canyons of the surrounding rivers, seamlessly merging into their environment. Our day-long guided journey commences from the charmingly scenic valley of west Zagori, taking us through Aristi, all the while marveling at the ever-changing landscape. Our next stop is at the pristine River Voidomatis, one of the purest rivers in Europe, and if your daring heart desires, you can take a plunge into its refreshingly chilly waters. Our journey then ascends to the villages of Papigo. The trip includes visiting the natural pools at Ovires Rogovo, located within a slim canyon and the cosier village of Mikro Papigo. Then we cross a pass of 1,090 meters to reach central Zagori for a splendid view of the deepest point of Vikos Canyon, nearly a kilometer deep. There, we enjoy a modest snack of traditional pies such as spinach pies, assorted seasonal fruits, and local sweets. The expedition continues with a visit to Dilofo, a village positioned in the heart of Zagori.
