This entry-level program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world, in a confined water setting.
We start with the theoretic part, that lasts for half an hour, and describes the basic about the scuba unit, how it works, how the diver uses it, physics of diving, equalization, underwater communication and describing the two skills that the diver will learn underwater( removing water from the mask and the regulator) and then we do one dive, maximum depth 9-10 meters for 40-45 minutes underwater.
You can recive the SSI recognition card at the end of the tour!

The Try Scuba program serves as your gateway to the aquatic realm. It’s a concise introductory course imparting the essential diving theory, skills and application of diving gear. You’ll gain understanding in the basics of the scuba unit, its functionality, the diver’s interaction with it, the physics involved in diving, equalization, underwater…
The Try Scuba program serves as your gateway to the aquatic realm. It’s a concise introductory course imparting the essential diving theory, skills and application of diving gear. You’ll gain understanding in the basics of the scuba unit, its functionality, the diver’s interaction with it, the physics involved in diving, equalization, underwater communication and an explanation of the two skills the diver will master underwater (mask and regulator water removal). A shore dive follows, reaching depths between 9-10 meters, lasting approximately 40-45 minutes. Our professional instructors will provide constant supervision. Expect encounters with diverse micro life, sponges, corals, fish and much more. With a ratio of 3 participants per leader, we ensure the highest levels of safety and enjoyment for each diver.

Excellent first-time experience. - My partner and I went on the tour in late October. It was a great experience, the guides were excellent and instructive and gave us full confidence for our first time. Would definitely do it again and recommend the Chania Diving Centre.

Scuba fun for beginners - I want to start by saying that we had a fabulous time and that we were really well taken care of by our instructors the entire time - they were both wonderful! We did this in the beginning of October and the water was clear and warm and the dive locations were gorgeous!
But if you think this is going to be Mickey Mouse scuba like at the Great Barrier Rief where they lower you on a platform and give you a rope to avoid compression issues - nope, this is the real deal. You will be suited up, asked to dive backwards in your gear off the boat, and then your instructor will help you lower to the sea floor about 10 meters deep, where you will do "skills" exercises, before starting to explore the dive. We felt totally safe the whole time and our instructors were always right by our sides, literally holding my hand most of the time. It was awesome but it was also very real and a couple of folks in our group had some panic jitters in the beginning.
I think our dive was about half an hour which was just long enough to be able to get used to and enjoy being under water. After, we were taken to a different gorgeous place for another hour of snorkeling. We were also picked up and taken back to our BnB. We're really grateful for the whole experience and are super impressed with the professionalism of the entire team!
So that there's no confusion, this trip is paired with the people who are getting certified but you don't get certified unless you do their full 3 day course and pass the test, so don't book this thinking you're going to get a short cut scuba certification ;).

Fantastic Experience - From the moment we met our Driver, we knew this was going to be good. A really friendly guy, who spent time pointing out local interests along the journey. This level of customer service continued throughout the whole day. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make sure we had the best time. It was the first time my 15 old son and myself had been scuba diving, but Jorge and Christina were absolutely fantastic, having patience and taking time to explain everything and it really made us feel welcome and safe on board. We would 100% recommend this company to anyone thinking of trying scuba or snorkelling while in Crete.

Super, Wonderful day - They were amazin!! Giorgio (The old man 😄) and Iohanna were the best instructors. They are so kind, professional, funny. They made our day were special. Thank you once more I hope one day maybe we will meet again. Love Crete!

if you visit Chania, this diving company is one you definitely need to try - Jared was our instructor, for me and my wife, we both had the most amazing time in and out of the water, Jared made us feel so comfortable and he is very knowledgeable about diving. We Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor to take us out for our first dive. this has been the highlight of our time in Greece. this is definitely something everybody needs to try… we both felt safe and was taught all the basic skills to keep safe underwater. the feeling of breathing and seeing all the fish in the water is amazing, We did have second thoughts before arriving but once we met Jared we knew that we made the right choice! if your reading this review then don’t think twice about using this company for a dive as it was 10/10 %100 amazing and I would certainly do this many times over again! Jared, many thanks from me and my wife for this amazing experience. Chania diving is the best

BEST DIVING CENTER in CHANIA! - While I did not actually book or experience anyhing through Chania Diving Center due to some unforseen circumstances that came up, I wanted to at least mention Christina at the front desk who I met as I was on my way to dinner. I'm a brand new Padi certified rookie diver and this would've been my first scuba experience. Christina provided all the necessary info, was very friendly and welcoming, and eased my obvious worries and nervousness as I clearly was hesitant to try my first dive away from the USA. I almost went but had to cancel last minute and she was MORE than accomodating and understanding about why I could not join. Christina if you read this, thanks yet again for your outstanding service! When I come back, I hope you're still there and will definitely book a scuba dive through you guys.

Fantastic Experience! - Thank you so much to the Chania Diving Centre for such a fantastic experience, our family of 5 had so much fun. The dive was so well organised & the instructors were brilliant, they really helped & supported us as this was our first time trying Scuba Diving. So pleased we signed up to this & having photos taken to capture our experience made it even better

GREAT adventure! Loved it! - We had a cruise ship stop in Chania, and I booked this for my husband and son (I am already scuba certified) because they wanted to see if they liked scuba diving enough to want to get certified. This tour company picked them right up from the dock where our cruise ship docked and returned them too. My son and husband had a fabulous time, and my 18 year old son said it was his favorite tour/adventure that we did on this trip to Italy/Greece. Highly recommend.
