A perfect day - We very much enjoyed our tour day with Angie. On the way to Lake Kournas and during the entire day, she gave a lot of information about Crete, the culture, the go-to sights, the people living here, the every day life, and what kind of challenges there are on Crete. The tour was a good mixture of activities (‘bicycling’ on the lake spotting a turtle), history learning and knowledge on olive oil production, spiced up with small treats and quiz questions. The visit to Dourakis Winery for tasting and late lunch in beautiful surroundings ended a perfect day for us.

Incredible local Chania experience with the amazing Aggeliki! - Aggeliki was the most fun and creative tour guides we have ever had. She showed us some incredible locations (Lake Kournas where we paddle boated and saw native sea turtles, a local olive oil factory where we saw exactly how olive oil is made in this region and did a tasting, and finished with a five-wine tasting and lunch at a gorgeous winery). She took the best photos of us, and would never let us try to take selfies on our own. Now, we will always remember the great time we had through the photos she took of us. Highly recommend!

Most fun day! - Angie is the best, Lake Kournas is gorgeous and Dourakis winery has the best food and wine. We had so much fun!

Great Guide, Great Trip - I don’t even know where to start. We were greeted warmly and punctually. The entire trip was perfectly tailored to us and customized. Aggeliki spoke several languages, which allowed us to have great conversations and a lot of fun together. Along the way, there were small gifts that made every moment even more special. I can only recommend it to everyone and I’m already looking forward to the next time!

Amazing olive oil and wine tasting tour by Angie! - This was such a great trip! Our guide Angie was amazing! She picked us up in the morning and explained to us the plan of the day. After visiting the beautiful Kournas Lake we went to the Kanakis olive oil farm. It was so informative! We finished off at the Dourakis Winery for wine tasting. After getting the incredible tour of how they make and store wine, we had the most delicious lunch out on their patio. I highly recommend it. Thank you so much Angie for such a wonderful day!

Wonderful tour! - Wonderful tour. Aggeliki makes you feel like friend or family when she drives you around. She knows the island and its history in great details and she always has a fun fact to share. Aggeliki has rare listenings skills and is eager to match your needs (we wanted to visit quiet spots and avoid crowd: she took us exactly to the right places). She also perfectly adjusted the planning according to the cloudy slighlty rainy weather that day. Aggeliki speaks perfect English and German. BOOK ANGIE! - Angie was such an incredible guide. She was funny, friendly, patient, and fun! She was flexible to our needs and wants. Even though this was a half-day trip, she took us on the trip for the whole day. My family (mom and two aunts) found her hilarious and so welcoming. I would book her in a heartbeat for future trips to Crete. I would recommend her separately from the Viator website.

Olive oil and wine tasting in Crete—Kournas lake region - This is an excellent and must do tour when visiting Crete. We were met at the port of Souda by our tour guide, Angi, promptly the morning of the tour. She was a lovely and delightful young lady who was articulate and well-educated. She speaks five different languages and is well versed in the history of her country and the region that we toured. We visited a splendid winery and had lunch. The wine was excellent and the food was superb. We also visit a wonderful olive oil processing facility which very clean and staff was very friendly and accomadating. Kournas lake was beautiful and calming surrounded by the mountains. Angi did a fabulous job of taking care of us by surprising with small treats throughout the trip from her region. The van was very comfortable and she did an excellent job of showing the region, educating us on the culture. Overall, a great trip that I would highly recommend for anyone visiting Crete!

Fantastic Family Experience With Something for Everyone - My family and I had such a wonderful time on this tour, especially with Angie as our guide. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast on the shore of the lake and a walk around it (although you can also swim or take a peddle boat out on the lake). The views were gorgeous and the water was so clear! Angie took us to a great spot overlooking the lake first to take photos and was happy to take photos of my family together. The wine tasting was fantastic and we opted to try several local cheeses along with our wine. The service was excellent and our server took the time to explain our wines and cheeses. The cellar tour was also pretty cool. We especially loved how much they also looked after stray animals. We learned the proper way to taste olive oil at our last stop and really enjoyed the olive oils and balsamic we tried there. We also appreciated the opportunity to try honey raki at the end. We definitely walked away with a few new delicious items for our kitchens. The real star of the tour was Angie though. We learned a lot of interesting things about Crete along the way from her narration and she had such a great personality interacting with my family. Communication in advance to determine pick up times, locations, etc. was very easy and clear. She even arranged with our private taxi across the island to pick us up at our final location, saving us a lot of time and effort. Her vehicle is very comfortable and well-equipped and we were all impressed with her safe and expert driving. She left us with many excellent recommendations for our next stop in Iraklio. I would recommend this tour with no reservations!

Angelina is the best! - We loved this tour! The winery's setting was rustic and quaint and of course we enjoyed the wine! However, the best part of the tour was our charming guide, Angelina! We could tell the owners and staff all knew her personally and were very fond of her! We felt the same way and by the end of the day we knew we had made a new friend! TAKE THIS TOUR! Ask for Angelina!
