• Mongkok - The tour begins at Prince Edward MTR station (Exit A within the station concourse area).
• Mongkok - The culinary journey kicks off with a delightful dim sum tasting at a Michelin-starred Dim Sum restaurant. “Dim sum,” which translates to “touch your heart,” typically consists of “snack-sized” portions served in small bamboo containers, enjoyed with Chinese tea.
• Mongkok - Following the delicious dim sum meal, it’s time for some exercise. The group will walk to an iconic wet market that offers a nostalgic glimpse into the past.
• 618 Shanghai Street - This revitalization project includes 14 buildings numbered 600 to 626 Shanghai Street, Mongkok, and is the next stop. It features 4 post-war residential buildings and 10 pre-war shophouses, designated as Grade 2 Historic Buildings by the Antiquities and Monuments Office in 2010. The area also hosts a variety of local lifestyle shops, perfect for purchasing souvenirs.
• Mongkok - After some exercise, there’s room for more food. The group will enjoy “Chinese BBQ,” also known as “Siu Mei.” These are highly seasoned meats, roasted over an open fire or in a rotisserie oven, with popular options including barbecue pork (boneless), barbecue goose, and roast pork.
• Mongkok - The tour will visit two more family-run food stalls offering Hong Kong’s classic dishes, which may include sweet Tofu dessert (silky smooth tofu with sweet syrup), freshly baked egg tarts, or pineapple buns from a local bakery.
• Mongkok - In this vibrant area, the local guide will offer sample tastings of various skewers, mini egg puffs, and other local street snacks that may be unfamiliar but are all safe and delicious to try.
• Mongkok - At the end of the tour, the guide will accompany the group to Mongkok MTR station.
