Insightful walk - Amazing walking tour with Isaac (Kwan Chan - hope I got it right). He has a pleasant and friendly demeanour which made it easy for the group to mingle and ask questions. The walk itself was enjoyable and Isaac shared good info. I highly recommend this tour

A great couple of hours - This was a very good trip. You can see a lot of the local architecture, get a nice cup of tea and our guide, Summer, was very knowledgeable about life in the community and willing to answer lots of questions

Thought-provoking and insightful - Frankie was really knowledgeable and well-prepared as he answered all our questions based on his own research and experience. It was a well-paced and thought-provoking adventure as we explored the various issues (housing, poverty, drug addiction etc) which lay beneath the shiny veneer and facade of Hong Kong. Wonderful and highly recommended!!!! :-)

Great Educational, Informative Tour! - I echo all the great reviews here. It was information, educational, and something you would not be able to see if you just see the glamor of Hong Kong. You can see the reality behind the glitz and learn about the history and politics. Issac was fabulous and a great tour gudie! I recommend this for someone who have already done a regular tour but wants learn more about Hong Kong.

Housing Focused Walking tour - This was an excellent tour walking around the Kowloon area and looking at some of the social problems facing Hong Kong especially in relation to the cost and quality of housing. It is easy to be blinkered by the luxury of HK and tourists can get a glimpse of what life is really like for the average Hong Kong worker. The tour also included a visit to a wet market and street life and the story of hawking I would suggest you would need to have a fluent English in order to fully understand the economic language used on the tour

Great non-standard tour - This is a great non-touristy experience in Hong Kong. Our guide, Michael, was really well informed on the housing difficulties facing lower socioeconomic Hong Kong residents. The subdivided home/cage home was eye opening. The tour was well organized and interesting from start to finish. If you want a thinking person’s tour, this is the tour for you.

Eye opening tour of Hong Kong. - Grace was our tour guide and she did a great job connecting us with better understanding the housing crisis in Hong Kong. The tour started at ended on time, and was excellent. It was great to see an actual subdivided unit, with the cage house, and the apartment that had the low ceilings, shower, toilet, and ac unit. The tour was a little long for kids. My kids started to get antsy around the hour and 45 minute mark. The overall excellent experience. I think one way to save time, would be to omit the exercise involving attendees to volunteer housing cost in there country of origin. That exercise could’ve been streamlined to a five minute introduction to attendees. (one attendee said that she was from Nebraska and the average income was $500,000 USD per year. That left me scratching my head.)

Hong Kong is not just a place of sparkle - Some of the tour was difficult in English only, but my guide, Michael, made sure of it many times, so I could understand most of it. The two-hour tour is a lot of walking, but it was very fulfilling and I think I got to know the parts that I couldn’t understand just by sightseeing.

Interesting but very focused on real estate - Quite interesting. But it's certainly nothing dark and mainly a tour about property prices. The guide seems preoccupied with the idea of poverty in Hong Kong without really being aware that there are far worse conditions in real third world dumps like India, Thailand and Cambodia. If the company is so focused on the property aspect, perhaps rename the tour and include more examples of that.
