Highlights
- Mongkok - The tour begins at Prince Edward MTR station (Exit B within the station concourse area).
- Mongkok - The foodie tour kicks off with a delightful sampling of dim sum at a Michelin-starred Dim Sum restaurant. “Dim sum” – which means “touch your heart” – consists of “snack-sized” portions served in small bamboo containers, typically enjoyed with Chinese tea.
- Mongkok - After savoring the dim sum, it’s time for some exercise. The group will walk to an iconic wet market that offers a nostalgic experience.
- 618 Shanghai Street - This revitalization project includes 14 buildings at Nos. 600 to 626 Shanghai Street, Mongkok. It features 4 post-war residential buildings and 10 pre-war shophouses, designated as Grade 2 Historic Buildings by the Antiquities and Monuments Office in 2010. The area also offers a variety of local lifestyle shops where souvenirs can be purchased.
- Mongkok - After some exercise, it’s time to enjoy more food. The group will taste “Chinese BBQ” or “Siu Mei,” which includes highly seasoned meats roasted on an open fire or in a rotisserie oven. Popular “Siu Mei” dishes include barbecue pork (boneless), barbecue goose, and roast pork.
- Mongkok - The tour will visit two more family-run food stalls featuring Hong Kong’s classic foods, which may include sweet tofu dessert (silky smooth tofu with sweet syrup), freshly baked egg tarts, or pineapple buns from a local bakery.
- Mongkok - In this bustling area, the local guide will offer sample tastings of various skewers, mini egg puffs, and other local street snacks that are safe and delicious to try.
- Mongkok - At the end of the tour, the guide will see the group off at Mongkok MTR station.

Yummy and filling food tour - Very personable and knowledgeable about Hong Kong and the local food. Took us to small restaurants that have been open for decades. We were quite full by the time the tour was done!

Great Afternoon Out & About - What a fantastic afternoon we had with Kenniess (Kenny) exploring all the various venues around Mongkok - Her food knowledge was outstanding of each outlet and very well explained together with jumping outside the circle teaching us the local customs.
Yes the amount of food can fill you up early but there was ample warning of this :)
We certainly came away with an enlightened knowledge of this very busy area together with a visit to the Ladies Market.
Kenny was just delightful & made sure at the end of the tour we knew where to catch the MTR etc. -Big Thank You Again for making the experience so good :)
