Experience the best of traditional and modern Chinese culture on a private day tour from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. Visit museums, explore shopping complexes, and indulge in local cuisine.

Duration: 9 hours, 30 minutes
Highlights
  • Shenzhen Museum - Established in 1981, Shenzhen Museum encompasses four distinct museums: the Museum of History and Folk Customs, the Museum of Ancient Art, the Former Site of the Dongjiang Guerrilla Headquarters, and the Shenzhen Reform and Opening Exhibition Hall. With a construction area exceeding 60,000 square meters, it serves as a comprehensive institution for collection, protection, research, exhibition, and education.
  • Shenzhen - Visit the most beautiful subway station in Shenzhen (Gangxia North Station) (15 minutes)

Gangxia North Station is renowned as the most beautiful subway station in Shenzhen. It attracts numerous visitors who come to take photos and experience its unique design.

The station features a massive dome inspired by Fermat’s spiral, affectionately known as the “Eye of Shenzhen.” This modern, technologically advanced structure symbolizes the future. As a major transportation hub where four lines converge, Gangxia North Station also serves as a welcoming space for the city. Be sure to visit and see it for yourself.

  • Dong Men Pedestrian Street - Enjoy lunch at Dongmen Pedestrian Street (Lunch and drink included)

Savor authentic local Chinese cuisine at a Dongmen restaurant and take a stroll afterward (Lunch and drink included).

Dongmen Old Street is considered the “root” of modern Shenzhen and is a well-known commercial pedestrian street. With thousands of shops and various buildings lining the street, it is a bustling and lively area. It has become a symbol of Shenzhen’s commercial growth, reflecting and shaping the city’s consumption trends and fashions. Bronze bells located in the east and west squares of the old street chime once in the morning and evening, adding to the charm of this historic place.

  • Upperhills - UpperHills is an urban complex that integrates industrial R&D, apartments, hotels, and commerce. Located in the central area of Futian, it is surrounded by three central parks and connects Lianhua Mountain and Bijia Mountain through scenic corridors. The project incorporates green ecology and combines three-dimensional transportation with business forms to create a comfortable, multifunctional space. UpperHills aims to lead “upper life” through innovative design, product development, and quality.
  • 甘坑客家小镇 - Gankeng Ancient Town dates back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a cultural tourist destination showcasing Hakka folk customs, architecture, art, traditional cuisine, and pastoral scenery.

Gankeng is one of Shenzhen’s “Top Ten Hakka Ancient Villages.” In the local Hakka dialect, “keng” refers to small streams and ditches. The town was historically a Hakka settlement, featuring numerous ancient buildings and interconnected houses and alleys. Notable sites include the Nanxiang Tower, which has stood for over 120 years; the Zhuangyuan Mansion from the Yongzheng period; and the Phoenix Valley, a complex of Huizhou-style buildings. Gankeng Ancient Town is a vital window into Shenzhen’s indigenous culture.

  • OCT HARBOUR - Happy Coast is situated in the heart of the Shenzhen Bay business district, between the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town theme park group and Binhai Avenue. It is a center for high-quality cultural tourism and international creative living.

Happy Coast combines the expertise of global masters, with marine culture as its theme and ecological environmental protection as its guiding principle. It innovatively merges themed business with coastal tourism, leisure, entertainment, and cultural creativity. The area integrates retail, dining, entertainment, office spaces, apartments, hotels, and a wetland park, creating a unique business model that blends commerce, entertainment, culture, tourism, and ecology. Great experience with the tour operator & Tripadvisor, highly recommended. - We could not make the Shenzhen tour due to a totally unexpected visa related issue. Appreciate the understanding of the tour operator and Tripadvisor in arranging a full refund within a day. As an advice to anyone planning this trip, please consider applying for China visa from your home country without depending on the on arrival visa option.
