After carefully assessing the flowering and peak bloom periods of the cherry blossoms, the festival’s schedule is announced in March.

• Gangneung Jungang Market - Gangneung Central Market is the most iconic traditional market in Gangneung City, Gangwon-do, established in 1980. The Central Market is primarily divided into a traditional market and an underground fishery market. The first floor features retail and wholesale of electronics, clothing, dried fish, shoes, food ingredients, etc.; the second floor houses restaurants, cafes, etc.; and the basement is dedicated to fresh fish and fishery products, offering a wide variety of goods.
