Brilliant - We organised this tour very last minute and the company pulled out all the stops to ensure that we were accommodated. We were picked up by Igor M at the front of our hotel and driven to Auschwitz. Our tour time wasn’t until 1pm so we had a few hours to kill , but Igor M was quick thinking and took us to Birkenau first and then for a quick coffee and delivered us in time for our 1pm tour. We then headed to the salt mines, however due to traffic ( absolutely unforeseen) we didn’t make our slot. Igor tried his hardest to get us into the salt mines however the salt mines didn’t allow it. We were offered either a full refund or to rearrange. Unfortunately we weren’t able to rearrange and we received a full refund. Can’t recommend this tour and igor M enough!

Thought provoking and spectacular - The trip, as expected, was harrowing and thought provoking and the salt mine was spectacular. Igor M was a great driver - supportive and helpful. The car was well maintained and very comfortable.

Brilliant, sobering, expertly guided tour - What a brilliantly well organised and fantastically guided day, which saw us being taken through Auschwitz and Birkenau by Jacob. Our driver throughout was Maxim /Maks who was chatty, friendly, informative and an expert driver. Both of these guys are world class anmbassadors and I would highly recommend them and their companies.

Be warned - Whoever signing up for this trip should understand that the Auschwitz-Birkenau tickets are not guaranteed. They are purchased on the spot on the day itself via the 'Individual Visitors' counter (rather than the Group Tours counter) and subject to availability. My group was English speaking but by the time we got to the ticket counter (we started queueing on a Sunday morning at 7am, and reached the register at 830am, all the English tours in the morning had been sold out and the next available was at 1430h. We had no choice but to purchase a Polish tour instead, even though none of us could understand Polish. If it really matters to you to get a good timing and a guide of your language (especially English) for Auschwitz-Birkenau, please purchase your tickets directly from the official website itself rather than be from any third party. Online tickets run out fast and should be purchased at least 1.5 months in advance. If not, tickets are also available on-site, but subject to availability. The ticket counter opens at 730am but you can start to queue earlier (e.g. 6am) to avoid disappointment. That said, our driver Kamil K was excellent - he tried his best to get us tickets, and brought us to some historical spots when we realised we had to wait for our tour. He was also passionate about sharing about Polish and current affairs. Kudos to him for his service! However, due to the overall experience of the ticketing at Auschwitz-Birkenau I cannot give this tour a good rating for the price we had to pay.

BEWARE! - Do not book with this crowd. Booked this a week in advance of our visit and had been in touch several times via WhatsApp regarding pickup times etc. They didn't show up on the morning, no explanation and now Viator are refusing a refund!

Terrible, find another company - Igor the driver, who texted me to be sure to use his name in my review, never even introduced himself on arrival. He was surly and uncommunicative. The 2 places were great but that has nothing to do with the transport. I was unable to get any information before the trip about how we would eat breakfast and lunch since pickup was 6am and it’s an 11 hour day. Nothing. All I could get from them after multiple messages was that food isn’t included and I should bring my own, not easy with a hotel that has no fridge in the room and here do you get coffee at 6am?. In fact there was ample time and place to buy and eat food at both places but instead we lugged around snacks, and got reprimanded for eating in the car, because we were told there wouldn’t be any time. Additionally I was made to sit in the hump in the front seat which was a killer for that many hours. And the awful loud disco music at 6am. Ever turned off, especially awful after the emotional experience of Auschwitz, It was torture. There are plenty of other companies that offer this transport for less money which I recommend you find. Or, be adventurous and take the train yourself, if I had known that was an option it would have been way more pleasant than this terrible experience. Zero stars.
