We Learned So Much! - Well organized trip! We had an excellent driver! Special thank you to Michael who kept us informed about each stop and getting us there safely! The guides assigned to us were very informative and kept us engaged in both the Salt Mines and Auschwitz/Birkenau. We learned so much on this trip.

Auschwitz-Birkenau Salt Mine - On time very comprehensive. Takes all day but worth it. Salt mine was interesting. Auschwitz-Birkenau different than other camps since it was primarily a killing factory.

A rollercoaster ot emotions - It was a packed day. First salt mines which were not that claustrophobic had a cool atmosphere, fascinating sculptures rooms and history. A lot of steps so bring comfy shoes. Second was Auschwitz which you need ID for. You can bring water with you, which I would recommend and pack a lunch to eat on the coach. There are two parts to this tour. Prepare for a long emotional day. Our tour operator was great, any questions/concerns were answered. The organising was good,( note tickets are given to you on the coach) and the guides around both exhibits were great. Definitely worth doing.

Best value for money - This was a really worthwhile activity. It’s a very long day and can be hard on the feet, but so worth it. The tour ran really smoothly once we got picked up. I will say it was confusing getting picked up from the Wielopole location as there are lots of other buses picking up people and you’re not sure which is yours as none have any signage on the buses or signs. We had to listen closely in a huge crowd of people for the drivers to call out the names of participants from each tour. This will be hard for anything hard of hearing. However once we were on the bus it was fantastic. In our tour we did the salt mines first, we then had lunch and then went to Auschwitz and birkenau. It would’ve been better to do the part of the trip that’s in the full sun early, however it was still really good. Well worth the money and well worth the full day

Highly recommended! - We had an amazing experience from start to finish. Our driver arrived ahead of time & was very friendly & welcoming engaging with us all, making sure we knew where the meet up points were & made the trip extra special. Both trips were well worth the visit, the salt mines were great & very interesting & Auschwitz although hard was also a great experience. I would highly recommend booking this trip, we travelled with our friends & they also agree.

A little rushed - Salt mines ✅. Auschwitz and Birkenhau was less so. Viator or the guide gave us time to eat (maybe too much time). Because after it just seemed all rushed. Lots of information ✅ but in a rushed way. The weather at Birkenhead was “rain” but everyone who attended wanted to be there in that rain to listen about history! Four stars only because of the rush. Plenty of facts though 👏

12 hour tour, not what I was expecting - We received a text the night before that pick up was now 7:45 and not the 8:30 we expected. We were picked up at our hotel but then driven to another and told to wait. It wasn't entirely clear as there were other buses and pickups in this location. It was about a 20-30 minute wait. Had we been told we could have walked to the location. We arrived to the Salt Mines and had a terrific tour. The driver of the coach told us we were too early for our Auschwitz tour for 3 pm. We had about 4 hours to kill. He took us to a restaurant that was "full" no one was inside as they were waiting for a tour bus of 100 people. They made us sit outside. It was 90+ degrees. We had a little snack and something to drink and waited. My husband and I asked to sit at the bar just to have a bottle of water, the restaurant was completely empty and we would agree to leave when the bus arrived. We sat inside for an hour before the bus arrived and then had to go back outside and wait in the heat for the bus driver to come back and get us. He then asked us where we wanted to go to kill more time? The docent lead tours were excellent. Our biggest complaint was the demand to be picked up so early, waiting around for the tour guide and then another long wait in extreme heat. I find it hard to believe they didn't know the time of our tour at Auschwitz ahead of time and could have rearranged the schedule We literally spent 12 hours on this tour to see the 2 sites. This wasn't an inexpensive tour. Next time I will hire a private guide.
