Highlights
  • Krakow - Our tour begins with transportation from Krakow, either from your chosen hotel or a designated meeting point. The Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is situated in Oswiecim, about 1 hour and 15 minutes away (65 km). All our drivers are certified by the EU for passenger transport. A friendly, English-speaking group leader will be on hand to assist you as needed. Upon arrival in Oswiecim, you’ll have a short break to grab a coffee or explore the outdoor exhibits. Then, you’ll meet a professional local guide, licensed by the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.
  • Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau - Your tour starts by walking through the gate of Auschwitz I, the first camp, initially set up as a concentration camp for Polish citizens arrested after Germany annexed the country in 1939. You’ll pass under the infamous sign “Arbeit Macht Frei” (Work Makes You Free). This part of the tour usually lasts two hours, during which you’ll use a headset to hear your guide clearly. The group size is limited to 30 people, as per the Museum’s regulations, ensuring a comfortable and accessible experience for all participants. Explore the original wooden barracks, fortified walls, barbed wire fences, gas chambers, and crematoria, which together leave a haunting impression and allow visitors to grasp the immense scale of the Holocaust.

  • Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau - After visiting the first camp, you’ll have a short break of up to 15 minutes. Following this, we will take you to the second part of the tour—Birkenau (Auschwitz II), located just 3 minutes away. Birkenau, the largest camp, was built and operated with the sole purpose of making Europe “Judenrein” (free of Jews). Your guide will continue the powerful narrative at Birkenau, located in the village of Brzezinka. Constructed in 1941 under the orders of SS commander Heinrich Himmler, the camp could hold around 90,000 prisoners. You’ll hear harrowing accounts of the brutal living conditions, the cruel selection process, and the pseudo-scientific medical experiments carried out by Nazi doctors, including Josef Mengele. The tour concludes with a story of liberation when soldiers from the 60th Army of the First Ukrainian Front opened the gates of Auschwitz on January 27, 1945, leaving you with a profound understanding that such genocide should never have occurred—and must never happen again.

  • Krakow - At the end of the tour, you won’t be rushed. You’ll have at least a 15-minute break. After another 1 hour and 15 minutes of travel, you will be taken to Schindler’s Factory Museum.

  • Muzeum Krakowa, oddzial Fabryka Emalia Oskara Schindlera - The driver will drop you off in front of the museum, where a tour guide will be waiting for you.

Oskar Schindler’s Factory will show you the story of a man who dedicated himself to saving the lives of Jewish people. Additionally, the museum represents Krakow during the World War II period, and through interactive exhibitions, you can feel as if you are walking the streets of old-time Krakow!

After another 1 hour and 30 minutes of guided tour, you will be taken to a designated address in Krakow.

After the tour, you may join the 1-hour Old Town Evening Walking Tour provided by a Local Guide. Your participation will be free of charge.

An experience everyone must do at least once - Not sure what you can say about Auschwitz and Birkenau that hasn’t been said. It’s an experience I think everyone should do, the whole tour group were silent the whole way round with the weight of sites seen and the information heard. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure our experience was the best and that we didn’t miss anything when there was a rush to get to the next part. Following Birkenau we were back on the bus for less than an hour before a bus change as different tour variations split off with us heading to the factory. The factory was so much more than I had imagined, it was fascinating in terms of the information it held and how it was all laid out and displayed it was a really interesting museum. Our guide there was lovely and knowledgable and gave us one of the best tours I’ve ever experienced you can tell she loves what she does. It was a long day from pick up to drop off but it was jam packed with information that just made everything that happened in the war feel more real.

October visit - Excellent communication and update on pic up time. Good driving and comfortable vehicle. Visits were good, guide at Schlinders Factory excellent and lots more there than we thought. If I did it again I may have done the trips on different days as long days. Lots more walking than I thought so if you aren’t very mobile this may be something to consider.

Heartbreaking - Auschwitz & Schindler’s Factory Nothing will ever prepare you for what we see today, we have walked around sobbing our hearts out, words will never be enough to describe the emotion and feelings the eeriness the sudden cold the feel for what happened, these photos are nothing to what we witnessed today, walking through the gas chambers, seeing the belongings the victims left behind, their hair that was shaved off, glasses, children’s items the list is never ending I will never ever forget how I felt today, and it truly does make you appreciate your life, life is so so precious! Cuddle your loved ones that little bit tighter tonight 💔

No tour of Schindler’s factory here - The tours of Auschwitz and Birkenau were wonderful. Well organized and interesting. Everyone needs to see these places. BUT the so-called tour of the Schindler Factory was a big disappointment. There is no factory — just the walls and roof of Schindler’s original enamelware factory. Instead, rooms are filled with the story of Poland’s occupation during the war. Which, of course, is interesting but not what we expected to see. There were brief mentions of Schindler and a display of his original desk at the factory, but that’s as far as that story went. I left feeling deceived. Don’t advertise a tour of a factory when it’s simply a bunch of photos from WWII Poland. That is false advertising. The tour description needs to be truthful. I feel like we were deceived by the old “bait and switch” tactic. Shameful!

Not Good - We request a refund. They texted me 9 times times the night before and told me where to meet them but it was wrong and the van came but did not have us on the list and did not take us. I confirmed that previous night to the text and asked the street address, which they texted that night before. They did not respond to my many texts that morning after we three were left behind. A driver called that morning but the calls did not come through. Someone else called and emailed later that day to reschedule the next day at noon; however our flight left then. We luckily were able to find another 6 hour tour later the same day.
