Auschwitz Birkenau tour - The tour was very informative and eye opening. We were picked up from our hotel on time by our driver and guide Daniel who couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend this tour to be anyone

Important to acknowledge this happened - The guide we had on our small group tour worked very hard to ensure the trip went well. It's difficult to say this is an enjoyable tour, as it isn't, but he told us the history of Auschwitz & Birkenau in a knowledgeable way that made you aware of the horrendous events in a thought provoking way.

Excellent tour, well organised and informative. - Excellent tour, well organised and good comminication from start to finish. Dominik our driver messaged the evening before to confirm our pickup time and in the morning to say he’d be arriving in 5 minutes, which he did in his comfortable minibus. He made sure we met up with the our tour guide and explained where to meet afterwards.I didn’t catch our guide’s name but he was very good. He made sure we stayed together and was very informative, clearly his job of educating people about the horrors that took place in Auschwitz & Birkenau is important to him. The skip the line tickets were well worth it. All in all it was a great trip that went like clockwork thanks to Dominik and our guide.

Quite the experience - We had an awesome and sobering experience visiting Auschwitz - Birkenau. ComFort Tours picked up our booking with in a days notice through our accommodation after our original booking was canceled do to 'lack or guides'. Our guide Dominik was loverly and professional, he provided all the details, skipped the line for us and was on time to the minute looking out for us. Small packed lunchwas worth it also. We did have a bit of confusion in the AM with another guide calling to say they would be picking us up minutes before Dom did. If this confusion between company and guides/drivers could be looked at in future. And provide Dom with a bigger company vehicle, it was squishy with 4 guests

Auschwitz Brikenau trip with English tour guide - What an amazing tour. Pucked up exactly on time, very kind, knowledgeable and very good driver. He was also the tour guide. It was a very sobering experience but definitely a bucket list item to do. I would recommend this tour company. Thank you so much

Recommended Auschwitz -Birkenau Tour - Our party of four was driven by Gregor (Greg) to and from Auschwitz -Birkenau and he was an excellent host throughout. Whilst the provisional pick-up time from our hotel was 8.00am, the actual time was confirmed the day before as 6.10am. I think this is a common change, and whilst it meant an early start, it did mean that we had full daylight at both sites (something that isn't possible if you leave late morning or later, at this time of the year). Greg organised a great picnic lunch for everyone which we ate in the minibus. Overall the tour is thoroughly recommended. Greg was friendly and a careful driver, the minibus was comfortable, and the two sites were fascinating (albeit shameful and haunting). Thoroughly recommended.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - I do NOT recommend this company. I booked for Auschwitz-Birkenau. I booked the trip through the hotel I was staying at (Hotel Ester in the middle of June). I thought that they would use a local reliable company who would book tickets as soon as the museum made them available in advance. I had seen that there were a lot of cancellations but I felt secure with my booking. I was so wrong. The day before the original pick up of 7.40 a.m. was changed to 6.10 a.m. There was one pick up on the way making 7 passengers. We were driven to Auschwitz arriving around 7.30 a.m. and put in a queue on the right-hand side of the entrance. We did not know then that was the queue for buying tickets on the day. The driver kept disappearing around the corner where the ticket booths were, at one stage he said there was an English Tour at 12.30p.m. we then realised that we had no tickets. When we got to the front of the queue, we could see that there were only two English tours that day with only one space on each. Eventually he got us tickets for a tour in Polish at 9.30 a.m. The driver told us that as the guide spoke ~English she might translate to English as well, she made it clear to us that she would not. There are a few information boards, but as the guide spoke non stop for 2 hours, we know we missed so much, in some places we didn’t know what we were looking at. When we got to Birkenau, the guide told us whereabouts the major parts of it were and suggested that as we couldn’t understand a word she said to look around on our own, there were no information boards there. Both the driver and the guide tried to get English guide books to help us but they were out of stock. The whole experience was deeply disappointing. I didn’t learn anything I did not already know. I asked the driver what the problem had been and he said the company had been phoning the museum daily asking for tickets and had been denied on each occasion. Why they were doing it at such short notice I do not know. We were not told on pick up that we had no tickets, neither were we told in the queue until we worked it out once we rounded the corner and saw the ticket booths. Apart from not having a proper tour, I am very unhappy with the lack of transparency and honesty by this company, we should have all been informed on pick up and at the latest when we arrived at Auschwitz. I did complain at the time and was given a 20% refund the next morning, which was insufficient. Our tour was the same as if we had organised a free self-guided tour and the refund should have been 100% of the ticket price. That day and the following day I met a total of 10 people who had been on the English tours on the day I visited. Two had organised it themselves and the other eight people through various companies, so why Comfort Tours could not get tickets is beyond me. The only positive thing is that the vehicle was clean and the driver polite, helpful (as much as he could be) and he drove safely. I have only given one star as there is no option to give no stars.
