Worth it - Absolutely worth it, my tour guide was fantastic. The company was even better as they were very communicative with me over Whatsapp even answering questions I had not pertaining to the tour. It was my first time in Poland and was essentially flying blind, they made it so easy and were so nice. Couldn't recommend them enough for this trip and experience!

Both touching and enlightening - We had a very interesting and moving day, not least due to our tour guide Mikael. He was incredibly knowledgeable, pleasant and showed great respect to the victims e.g. by keeping a three minute silence while we stood next to Block 11 and as we walked along the railroad tracks towards one of the crematoriums in Birkenau to encourage us to think of this as our memorial walk. It was tremendously touching and it all made a profound impact on us. We could easily have spent the whole day with Mikael just listening to him share his knowledge. We highly recommend a visit to Auchwitz-Birkenau.

Departure times vary, just as described - Just as described, the tour company contacted us the day before with our departure time - ours was 1315. The Viator reply didn’t reach them, so they called to confirm that we knew what time they’d be picking us up. The ride from Krakow was about 1-1.5 hours. Don’t forget your picture ID.

Convenient way to tour and learn about the camps - Convenient pickup, good communication, educational tour. Obviously the point of visiting isn't to have a fun time, but it was exactly what we were looking for in terms of learning about the atrocities that occurred in the Auschwitz camps.

Great tour though it’s totally exhausted your energy ! - Definitely recommend to bring sunglasses, hat, umbrella and all the sunblock products with you, with mini fan is much better! Bring enough water and dun buy nearby the camp which costed 8 PLN but the normal price is only 2-3PLN! Well prepared especially for summer time and lunch break only 30 mins, better to buy some food 1 day before as there’s no any restaurant / shop in the camp Very worth to visit and learn a lot from history… pls show your respect and Dun wear any sexy (no see through bra please !) and wear the comfy shoes for long walk , first part takes almost 2 hours to walk through the blocks with shelter but second part is all outside and it’s quite hard for summertime ! Our tour guide Pawel is typical Polish but he’s very nice and kind and always offering help, I believed he should be Virgo coz he is quite disciplined and I really appreciated him as he is not a flirty guy ! Very good !
