Concentration camp tour - Well first off would like to say John the tour host was a very nice , informative person ,very friendly knew his stuff . Then the lady tour guide I missed her name was very good ..she new her stuff and made the walking tour very interesting, even on a cold and snowy day . To be honest when we approached the town or village were we had to park . I couldn't believe how close everything was built so close to the camps . My opinion would have been to have a set distance away were nothing should have been built . So for us never seeing the site entrance, car park etc was a bit of a shock . But saying that there as to be a entrance and parking somewhere. Be aware we went on the 10th of Jan 2025 and it was a cold and snowy day . There were hundreds of people there . So summertime I would imagine even more folks . Glad we've been and experienced it . But you can't imagine what the people went through in those times . It's unbelievable what humans can do to one and other so sad . Will the world ever be a better place ? I don't know . Just my thoughts .....

Ilona is a superstar - Ilona really made the tour experience. She kept us super well informed with consistent communication throughout not only the day but started to build a rapport the day prior with directions and a guide of the day. Auschwitz and Birkenau both are very surreal experiences - our guide Anna was super knowledgeable and respectful. Ilona sorted us out with lunch options and even recommended some bars and restaurants! 100% recommendation to anyone
