The Eagles’ Nests Trail is a travel path which traverses the Małopolskie and Śląskie Voivodeships. Commencing from Krakow and ending in Częstochowa, the route is stretched 164 kilometers long. The assertion ‘Eagles’ Nests’ is bestowed upon it due to the castle ruins and fortresses scattered along its length. They earned the epithet ‘Eagles’ Nests’ because they are positioned on cliffs, some soaring as high as 30 meters.

A great castle tour with a very knowledgeable driver and tour guide - We were collected on time from our hotel by a friendly good safe driver. He kept us informed about timings and plans to visit various castles including one used in Game of Thrones all along the eagles nest chain. Great informative tour and all entrance fees are included.

Custom Castle and Czestochowa Day Trip - This was our second tour in a week with our guide, Maciej (Matthew). We intended to rent a car and do this tour on our own, but we were able to experience so much more with Maciej without the worry about opening times, parking, schedules, and all the other logistics that he handled seamlessly for us. I'm so glad we had Maciej as our guide!
The van was comfortable and Maciej was an excellent driver, telling us about the area and stopping along the route for unique photo opportunities, including some unexpected surprises. He really customized this experience for us and we highly recommend him. We really enjoyed visiting so many castles and the monestary visit to see the black Madonna in Czestochowa was wonderful.
Similar to our other tour with Maciej, we had plenty of time for photos and visiting each site. There were also sufficient rest stops for coffee/snacks and toilets. Maciej is an excellent and safe driver, which we appreciated. We spent about 13 hours total with Maciej for this tour and look forward to booking with him again in the future.

Amazing day - We had a wonderful day exploring the castles in the Eagle's Nest tour. The different castles vary from large, sprawling ruins to fully renovated (and containing museums). Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, plus the small group size (there were just 4 of us) meant that we got personal attention. Very highly recommended.

Great trip to see the castles near Krakow - We had the most amazing experience with Maciek . From start to finish, he went above and beyond to ensure our trip was perfect. He is not only incredibly knowledgeable about the area but also friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. Maciek is incredibly patient, always answering our questions with a smile and making adjustments to the itinerary to accommodate our needs. He even took us to some hidden gems that only locals know about, and added personal touch to the tour that made it unforgettable. We can’t recommend Maciek enough – if you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your experience and will go out of their way to make it special, Maciek is the guide for you!

A great day seeing a ton of castles! - I loved the variety of castles - everything from ruins to renovated museum. A perfect way to see the countryside, learn history, and have a lot of fun climbing up and down towers! My family loved it, even the hard-to-please teenagers.

The BEST day visiting the Castles in Poland! - Maciek was an amazing tour guide for us! He is extremely knowledgeable on all of the castles on the tour and many other places in the areas we drove through. He was even able to give us history/information on other castles that were not open to the public. Wonderful sharing of legends and tales of the area. He was very respectful of things we wanted to see and do. He even made accommodations for one on the tour that was having issues with some steps/long walks around a few of the castles. We had lunch at a restaurant he suggested! So many choices!! Best Goulash! ❤️ On the way back to Krakow, he continued to point out things for us to see in Poland’s beautiful countryside and towns. We had a very full day and would highly recommend using Maciek for any of your site seeing needs! I know I will be! 😊

There is no better tour! - To start with the views are amazing!! The stories were even better. Our guide was a wealth of information on the history of the castles and area. He even went out of his way to suggest places to see when we got back to Krakow. His passion for the history of this land really shows!
My friends were shocked to find out that castles could be found in places other than Scotland.

Wonderful day tour outside of Krakow - An excellent organised day tour. The castles and the views are stunning. Maciek is a very nice, helpful and knowledgeable guide. It was great that he tailored the program to our wishes as there were no other people on the tour on that day. Me and my kids really enjoyed the trip. Thank you Maciek!

Good experience during our stay in Krakow - Beautiful experience discovering the Polish eagle nest castles, all very beautiful with their own style.
Very friendly and accommodating Guide.
One star less for the slightly higher Award in our opinion.
