Beautiful and moving - definitely worth seeing. - This was a very good tour. Our driver, Chris, picked us up on time and gave a very comfortable ride to Częstochowa. He walked us into the monastery grounds & brought our private guide out to us. He told us to take as long as we needed & was waiting for us when we got done. Thank you, Chris!
The tour was very beautiful and moving, especially since we are Catholics of Polish descent. However, I think that everyone can enjoy and appreciate the beauty of the church and its architecture. Our private guide, Martin, was amazing. He knew and shared so much history about Poland and Jasna Gora. And he let us take as much time as needed to see and experience everything. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Unexpected and Excellent Monastery Tour - My friend and I were lucky to get a really excellent guide inside the Jasna Gora Monastery. Our guide, Fr. Szymon Stefanowicz hustled us through myriads of stairs, doors and alleyways, through the sacristy until we reached the inner sanctum where the Black Madonna is enshrined! and there she was and we were right in front of her while the other pilgrims could not even get a glimpse. We were thankful and grateful

Our trip to Jasna Gora Monastery was... -
Our trip to Jasna Gora Monastery was wonderful! Maciej of Poland-Active picked us up at our hotel promptly at 9am. He drove by way of Eagle's Nest Drive to show us a number of castles and ruins. He was very accommodating, stopping and letting us take pictures, offering to take our pictures. Told us a lot of information about Poland as well as the area we were driving through. Pointed out things that we would have never caught on our own. His English was very good and we were able to have a pleasant conversation on our drive. Our tour at the monastery was at 12:30p and that was done by on of the English speaking monk. That was wonderful too. Gave us so much information and history. He was very personable. We felt very privileged to be able to see Our Lady of Jasna Gora Icon and be able to witness the services going on. Afterwards,Maciej suggested we stay and see the unveiling of Icon for the afternoon session so we were able to see that too. Pointed our a few things that that Father didn't too. Very beautiful place. History is so rich. Took a different route back to see a couple more castles. Suggested stopping for lunch at a very good restaurant--authentic Polish food. Unfortunately can't remember the name of the restaurant. Got back to Krakow early evening. Just a wonderful day!!!!

Beautiful site - Our driver was right on time to pick us up at our hotel and the drive to Częstochowa went well. However, once we arrived our guide was not there to meet us. We later learned that she had not been informed that she had a tour with us. We ended up exploring a bit on our own (which was fine) and our driver tried to explain a few things, but since his English wasn't too good, communication was difficult. Once we met up with our guide, she was terrific. She based what she showed us on what we had already seen and did a wonderful job. She was very informative and had a great wealth of information. The site itself is very much worth visiting and the Black Madonna was just beautiful. There are many buildings on the premises: a stunning treasury, a museum and a large church adjoining the small church where the Black Madonna is.

A spirituality that fills the heart .. - An immense complex where myriads of pilgrims arrive singing and praying instilling an incredible spirituality.
The first baroque church enchants then entered the smallest and most intimate where the image of the Black Madonna is located I do not know but remain silent, in prayer ...
Everything inside is well organized, we chose to be Guided by a nun who accompanied us throughout the complex telling us anecdotes and curiosities '.
We climbed the bell tower, however high fairly easy, you climb without much effort.
At every hour there are masses but to see the icon of the Madonna you can also enter during the celebrations, just walk the walkway on the right of the church and follow the flow of people to the altar and turn behind , many devotees do the path on their knees but you are not obliged ..
Impressive visit.
