Highlights
  • Kraków - We are going to show you how to make pierogi like a pro. At the beginning, you’ll go shopping at the bustling market, and you will get from your guide all the insider info on the fresh vegetables and produce for sale along the way. Your guide will even be able to teach you some expressions in Polish if you wish so that you can barter at the market like a true Krakow native!
Next on this Krakow tour, you’ll be taken to a family home, where you’ll be able to put all that delicious fresh produce to use and get some cooking lessons from Krakow locals. You’ll be taught how to make a pierogi, a typical Polish dish (kind of like a dumpling). Whilst you’re cooking you’ll have the chance to ask all the questions about Poland you have always had.
Finally, you’ll be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour and tuck into all the Krakow food you’ve been making. As you’ll be eating with a Polish family, this will also be your chance to ask all those questions you have about Polish culture, and your hosts will be very happy to teach you all about their country. Eat, drink, and be merry – Krakow style!

A must do experience!!! - Making Pierogis with Magdalena was the best part. Buy ingredients in polish at the local market was a great way to get the day going. Learning how to make them correctly to be successful afterwards and enjoying all the effort in the end was great. Best experience and most enjoyable part of my trip.

Fantastic cooking experience! - What a fantastic experience on our Poland tour. Dominika was so personable and patient with us "non-pierogi" cookers - lol. I loved visiting the market and cooking in her apartment in Krakow. It was a wonderful experience and highly recommended!

The Best Day Ever! - This was probably the most enjoyable and knowledgeable event/class we did during our stay in Krakow. Our host Magdalena was wonderful, entertaining, warm, and extremely hospitable in opening up her home and showing us how to make the BEST pierogi! During our time with her she also helped us learn more about the Polish language and local traditions. HIGHLY recommend this class for anyone visiting Krakow, and who is a lover pierogi.

Perfect Poland Palatable Pierogi Preperation - Truly a special experience with a local guide! Getting to see the market where the locals go was a treat! I could have spent more time there BUT we needed to get to our guide's home to make the pierogis! We enjoyed her sharing her life and historical knowledge as we traveled to her place. Dominika was perfectly prepared, having things ready to go once we got there. This made it so enjoyable as we learned some of the 'secrets' to accomplishing pierogi making for when we return home! Thank you so much for this fun experience.

Best time today ! - So, I signed up for the pierogi making class because when in Poland you need to do as they do. My friend was sick so it was just me. Alicja was the guide. We started on time and walked to the market where she told me I’d be ordering the food and gave me a “polish cheat sheet” we practiced first ( it was hard but Im so glad I tried) . It was not what I expected but so so happy as I wanted to learn and experience as the Polish do. She took time to explain food in the market and beyond. It was fascinating to see how they make their pickles. After a short trip to her home we started, now let me preface -I don't eat much and I don't cook. Well,, I had the BEST day, Alicja stood right by me guiding, telling stories and answering my million questions as she taught me the art of making the dough, the inside and how t finish them with your own “signature”. I not only learned to cook them I tried other polish foods, and ate some of a poppy cake ( id never even heard of it) ,, we talked about so many things and I learned so much. It was beyond a pleasure to spend time learning, cooking and conversing with Alicja. I’d do it again in a heartbeat
