During the trip, you will watch a documentary movie about the history of the Nazi concentration camps. - Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau - Firstly, You will be taken to Auschwitz I, where you will join an English tour
- provided by the museum’s guide
- for about 2 hours. After that, we will transfer you to Auschwitz II-Birkenau, about 2 km away. You will spend there about one hour with the same guide. After Camp Auschwitz II-Birkenau, you will have time to eat our freshly prepared lunchboxes (which include chicken pasta salad, sandwich, sweet bar, fruit, and water). We also provide vegetarian, vegan, gluten, and dairy-free options. Please add a remark in your booking if you have any special requirements.
- Wieliczka Salt Mine - In a second part of the day, you will be transferred to Wieliczka Salt Mine, which happens to be one of the oldest working salt mines in the World: it has been producing salt for over 700 years. You will be attending an English guided tour at 4pm or 5pm (depending on road conditions). Your guide will take you up to 140 meters underground for a 2.5-hours journey through over 2.5-km tourist route full of chambers with amazing salt carvings and statues.

Pressed for time but still want to see Krakow’s top attractions? This tour allows you to explore two of Poland’s key UNESCO World Heritage sites — Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Wieliczka Salt Mine — all in a single day. It may require an early start, but you’ll be able to tour Auschwitz-Birkenau, the infamous Nazi concentration camp, and delve into the depths of the Salt Mine, and still return to Krakow for your evening meal.
- Please note that the maximum size of bags and backpacks allowed to carry on the Museum grounds is 30 x 20 x 10 cm. You can always leave your belongings inside the bus which will be parked nearby.
- Please note that this tour is not available on: 25th of December, 1st of January, Easter Saturday afternoon, Easter Sunday and March of the Living Day.
- Please note that to reach the first level of the mine (64 meters underground), You have to descent a wooden stairway which has 378 stairs. After the tour, You will be taken up to the surface with a lift.
- Temperature in the Salt Mine is approximately 14 degrees C (57 degrees F), please wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes.

Excellent trip worth doing! - The whole trip was so well organised! Pick up times sent out the day prior, everything went so smoothly, the lunch included was very good! Our driver was very polite, the trip was excellent and really worth the money, a long day but definitely one worth doing! Dropped back off at our hotel, Auschwitz-Birkenau was very eye opening and the salt mines gave you a nice lift in mood after, highly recommend

made the trip better with no stress. - all was a time to remember. from start to finish, minibus picked us up on the time stated, went to the salt mines first, drivers gave a break down on trip, times and activities. second part of trip was auschwitz-Birkenau, lunch was included in trip then moved onto a guided tour with a guide that knew everything. a mind of information and answered any question you asked. drivers made sure that drop off points were by your hotel/pick up point which made you valued as a customer. I would and will recommend Viator to anyone I know that would benefit from this trip.

Fabulous tour , well organised and efficient, really enjoyed the day. - Our driver was punctual, very pleasant and helpful, it is an early start pick up 6 am but what a day . Aushwitz and the salt mines were better than I could imagine, it’s a long day with lots of walking but so worth it , top marks for organisation and also a fabulous lunch included , try and grab a hot drink before you go as not many opportunities to get one.

Memorable day - 10/10 experience. Great communication with Mr Shuttle tour company and reminders of when getting picked up. Comfy travel and fab music on route. Door to door experience. Very organised.
Auschwitz-Birkenau was a must see. Humbling, visceral and respectful. You MUST experience this.
The salt mines was great to do after the mornings visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. The salt mines were magnificent and well worth a visit.

Excellent all day - Excellent day throughout.
We were picked up on time by Tomas (mr shuttle). Tomas is a great driver; superb English, funny and friendly.
Auschwitz and Birkenhau tours were very humbling and thought-provoking. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had an association with Auschwitz through her uncles.
Lunch was lovely - tasty and filling.
The Salt Mines were awesome due to the size and splendour. Be aware there are several hundred steps to take down to the different levels but there is a lift back to the surface (phew 😄).

Not Bad for Quick Visit - My driver was great..super friendly! The tour itself was good, but RUSHED. The guide was very knowledgeable, but hard to hear as there were so many tour groups. When I come back I won't use the guide as we had no time to read any of the photos. The salt mine portion was great - I would warn anyone with spacial anxiety to be cautious only because you go about 135 meters underground. Good thing is you get lifted out in a small 5 person elevator.
