- Church St. Michael the Archangel in Binarowa - The alternate stage of the tour is St. Michael Archangel’s church in Binarowa. It is one of the most valuable occurrence of late Gothic architecture in Poland.

Excellent experience in Poland - Our family had a wonderful time on this excursion visiting many of the wooden UNESCO churches of Poland. Our guide, Maciej (Matthew), was absolutely wonderful. His communication was excellent both leading up to the trip and during the day together. He had the route well planned and that included coffee or other stops along the way. His company, Poland Active, has many other types of excursions too, all of which look interesting. We highly recommend him and this company to you.

A wonderful and unique experience - If like I was, you have been drawn in by photos of the unique and beautiful UNESCO world heritage site churches and want to also see something of the beautiful rural Malopolska region then I highly recommend this tour led by Poland Active.
This is an exceptional tour led by a highly professional guide. From first communication via email to arrange the tour to a reassuring WhatsApp message the day before to confirm arrangements, I felt assured that this was a well organised and trustworthy company.
Maciej my guide arrived promptly at a convenient meeting point and explained his plans for the day, with thoughtfully planned comfort breaks and a lunch stop. The tour lasted around 11 hours and covered a wide area with the opportunity to see 8 wooden churches, each with a distinctive architectural style. Local guides had been booked in advance to open up the buildings and reveal the intricate and beautiful polychrome decoration which dates back hundreds of years. The whole day was very well planned, and the pace of the trip was perfect. Maciej is a safe driver and a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide who went out of his way to ensure I enjoyed the tour. A unique and memorable experience, Thankyou!

Day Trip of a Lifetime - We had a wonderful time touring the wooden churches in lesser Poland. Our guide, Maciej (Matthew), was excellent and he really made the tour special for us. There were plenty of opportunities for photos at each church, and Maciej knew all the best spots for photos! We had sufficient rest stops for coffee/snacks and toilets, and a delicious Polish lunch along the way. Maciej was also an excellent and safe driver, which we appreciated. We would not have been able to coordinate such a trip on our own. We were so impressed that we booked a second tour. Thank you, Maciej, for such a memorable day!

Excellent! - This is an exceptional tour of the wooden churches, which were once traditional in the Malopolska region! The tour started promptly at the agreed time with hotel pick-up. The guide asked us about the pace of the tour, explaining that we could see up to 8-9 churches if desired, the minimum being 4-5. We like wooden churches very much and chose to see as many as possible, and what a treat! These churches are unique and have beautiful histories attached to them! Most of them could be visited inside with their guide (who waited for us promptly when we arrived) or an audioguide. Everything was very well planned, and the overall pace of the trip was perfect, not rushed. We also had one hour for lunch at a lovely village restaurant; I recommend trying Polish traditional dishes there. Our guide, Maciej, was very knowledgeable and went beyond the call of duty to make our tour enjoyable! Everything was very well organized, allowing us to make the best of our trip and see everything we wanted to see! The landscapes along the way are unique, too! Highly recommended tour that has an excellent guide! Thank you, Maciej/Matthew!

A wonderful tour of the wooden churches - My family and I had a wonderful time on this tour visiting the wooden churches outside Krakow. Our guide Maciek was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he pointed out sites in the towns and villages we passed through as well. Highly recommend!

Truly Extraordinary - If you’re passionate about architectural history, traditional buildings, vernacular architecture, photography, and/or truly unique religious buildings, I can’t recommend this tour highly enough.
Matheiu and Matias went above and beyond. We spent twelve hours crisscrossing southeastern Poland visiting extraordinary UNESCO heritage sites. At nearly every stop Matias coordinated with friendly locals to open the doors of these amazing places and share their stories with us. The guys drove, translated, and shared information like absolute pros.
Really a remarkable day. This tour was a bit challenging to find for me but I’m here to tell you it exceeded my expectations by a mile.
