Highlights
  • Matejko Square - Plac Matejki, the historical entrance to Kraków and starting point of the tour, has numerous locations of interest: churches, statues, university buildings. It is also a lovely place to take photos.
  • St. Florian’s Gate - Kraków was selected to be the capital of Poland for its defensive properties. A section of the the once great city walls remains intact until today and it is rich with history and legends, especially pertaining to Saint Florian.
  • Krakow’s Rynek Glowny Central Square - Kraków’s main square is the largest medieval main square in all of Europe and basically every single building adjacent to it has a very rich and varied history as well as associated legends. Some of Poland’s main monuments are located here, like St. Mary’s Basilica and the Cloth Hall Sukiennice. The vicinity has also numerous museums and restaurants I will be more than glad to recommend during the tour.
  • Jagiellonian University Museum Collegium Maius - The Jagiellonian University is not only the oldest university in Poland but also the oldest in all Central and Eastern Europe. With a proud tradition spanning centuries, the university has many stories worth to be told, and the best place for it is the lovely courtyard of the original university building, known as Collegium Maius.
  • Wawel Royal Castle - The Wawel castle, once the seat the of all political power in the Kingdom of Poland and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth remains and important and symbolic location for Poles until this day. The castle exhibits various architectural styles and it is a testament to all of Poland’s history - from legendary tales to recent modern events. It is a must see landmark of the city.

Unforgettable tour! - Konrad is an exceptional tour guide! His deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the city's rich history really made the landmarks come alive. I'm not a big fan of history but somehow I can listen to his engaging stories for hours without getting bored. He also knows all the best spots to take photos and enjoy authentic polish cuisine. He's like an encyclopedia of interesting facts of the land, always answering all your curious questions in a helpful and interesting manner. If you're hesitating about booking a tour, go with Konrad, You won't regret it.
