Superb Museum - Obviously, I had watched the film and knew the story of Schindler saving the Jews from extermination. The factory museum really covers the whole story of the invasion of Poland through to Schindler’s role. It was fascinating and so cleverly created to maintain interest for nearly 2 hours. We self guided our tour and paid the equivalent of £20 for two family members on the day. We had a little wait in the afternoon before we started the tour, but it was fine. The benefits of the tour are definitely an understanding of what happened in Poland to greater clarity about the ghettos and the persecution of the Jews. Schindler was clearly a complex individual and I still struggle to really understand his motives, however, I can see why he was respected in his support of the Jews. A valuable and informative day out which put faces behind the names. I would definitely encourage a visit to the factory museum.

It's not all about Schindler - Our excellent guide spoke about the history of Krakow & Poland both before WW2, during & after. Therefore the tour was so much more than Schindler.

Not what we expected... - This was my first in-person exposure to anything Schindler. By choice, I have never watched or read Schindler's List. The museum was informative and interesting but crowded with a lot to read and not what we expected. Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory could have been more about the actual factory and its processes. However, it was really about the lives of the people who worked there during a very depressing time. For those who wish to relive this period in history, the museum tour would be very good.

Great museum. Lots to read. - I'm writing this about the review (not one of the companies who offer tickets) as I bought the ticket directly from the museum. This museum is very worthy of a visit. It's probably a tram ride away from the places most people stay but don't let that put you off; the trams are easy to use. The museum itself is large and takes a few hours to see. There are a lot of photos and lots and lots to read. A few of the areas are also 'dressed sets'. I'd recommend but you will need to be in the mood to read and for that reason I think it would be less appealing to younger children.

Advice for your visit - You may spend 2 hours here. This is what you should know first... 1. There is luggage storage. I could not find any info on the website or on TripAdvisor reviews about bag lockers, so we left our luggage at the hotel, which added 1 hour to our travel to our next destination. When we arrive, there are lockers that would have been perfect. 2. We bought 'skip the line' tickets, yet it is confusing how to use them. Here is the answer: stand by the front door until a teenager calls your name and gives you the tickets (the QR code you get upon purchase is not checked). 3. If you go without a tour, know that tour groups will be blocking the narrow paths through the museum. Just be polite and say Pardon as you push through them, or you will be stuck. 4. The line to get in is in direct sunlight and is very hot. 5. After, be sure to walk over to Hero's Square. See the empty chairs that represent the thousands of Poles deported from that plaza. 6. We still had questions and had to read Wikipedia and other sites to understand who Schindler was and what he did. Maybe if we had a guide...but the museum is more about the general experience of the time than just about him

Pre book a ticket but worth the wait - Hadn’t pre booked a ticket and wish we had, so had to queue for about 45 minutes. Well worth it though. It follows a timeline as you walk through, so much information to read, so take time. Very informative how life changed. Only problem I had was the red lights as you walk through the first section and the very bouncy floor in quite a dark area. Staff were friendly and helpful. shop has sold out of English guides.

Very medium - Crowded victim of its success which is only valid by the film but also by the documents of German origin over the period. But if you are passionate about history nothing to learn there.

Basic war museum - I think this museum offers a lot if you don't have prior knowledge on this topic. We didn't learn or see anything new compared to other museums in Europe. The museum was far too crowded and the ticket inspector was rude.

Disappointment - We expected more about the factory and Schindler's activities at the time, but it was a war museum. Shame.
