Following your cruise, hop on a bus for a journey to Wieliczka, a delightful town near Krakow, renowned for its historic salt mine, one of the largest and oldest in Europe. The mine descends to a depth of 340 meters and includes over 245 kilometers of tunnels and corridors. The tourist route spans more than 3 kilometers, showcasing over 20 chambers, underground lakes, and a variety of passageways and structures. A highlight of the tour is the remarkable Church of St. Kinga, an underground chapel embellished with chandeliers, carvings, and statues all sculpted from salt. The mine is also famous for its therapeutic microclimate, and at a depth of 135 meters, you’ll discover an underground sanatorium.
