Wawel Royal Castle - the heart of Krakow is the residence of Polish kings - the Wawel Royal Castle with its Gothic cathedral. Visiting this symbolic place, we will see a rich collection of paintings, prints, sculptures, fabrics, goldsmiths, militaria, porcelain and furniture, recreating the appearance of rooms from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. We will visit the Royal Chambers with the famous tapestries of Zygmunt August and wonderful Italian Renaissance paintings from the Lanckoroński collection.
We will also enter the Wawel Cathedral and admire the Gothic structure that was once the sanctuary where Polish monarchs were crowned.
All this, of course, will be colored by stories and curiosities from an experienced guide. -
Rynek Underground - The Krakow Undergrounds Museum on the Market Square, opened in 2010, is a kind of archaeological park where you can observe pictures of the life of a large, bustling medieval city. With the help of modern technology, the authors of the project created the ideal illusion of a lively medieval city.
At a depth of several metres below the surface of the Main Market Square, from the Cloth Hall to St Mary’s Church, awaits a true treasure trove of information on Kraków’s past. In 4000-square-meters underground there are streets and stands of thousands years old, and there is atmosphere of the market square - you can hear merchants talking and carts creaking. Scales, coins, clothes, jeweleries and even human remains - all the artefacts were found during the excavations.

In the afternoon, after your meal break, journey through the heart of Royal Krakow, and undertake a thorough exploration! Start by observing the contemporary Main Market Square scrupulously, then journey beneath the square to witness the events of the past epoch that took place in that very location. In yesteryears, wares from the globe were traded there, merchants of Krakow amassed wealth, municipal officials ensured law and order, suspects were subjected to inquisition within the dungeons of the Town Hall, and courtiers strutted across the square en route to the castle.
