Experience an incredible location - the first on the globe to be included in the UNESCO Heritage inventory. On this journey, you will delve 140 metres beneath the earth’s surface to investigate captivating salt-made chambers and passageways. Get informed about the origins of salt extraction and observe genuine mining machinery. Your guide, who is fluent in English, will lead you on a nearly three-kilometre-long tour that lasts 2.5 hours.

- Each traveler is allowed a maximum size of any baggage allowed Wieliczka Salt Mine is 30x20x10 cm
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel
- Temperatures underground ranges between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius so please bring warm clothing.
- There are 800 steps to climb so please wear comfortable shoes.
- Taking photographs for private purposes only
- Roundtrip transportation is available from most centrally located Krakow hotels. Please arrange pickup from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation. You are required to wait at the reception 5 minutes before your scheduled pickup time.
- Students must bring valid Student ID to receive a youth discount and keep it for the whole tour

Group booking for 6 .. excellent - I booked for a party of six .. the organisation was exceltional .. the driver was very polite and the packup better than expected ... our guide was lovely informative and very polite.. she allowed time for questions, and you could tell she was still very interested in the history and having spoken with her she studied Jewish history and the polish history .. there is nothing that could improve an already perfect tour.. many thanks from me and my five guests. we had the most amazing, emotional, exceptional day .. xx

Great Driver and Service - Karol was brilliant. We booked the trip through the hotel and Karol was our driver. He arrived on time. His vehicle was clean and tidy. He introduced himself and explained the day. He made sure we all understood where we were going and meeting up. He was friendly , well presented spoke great English.

Excellent! - The driver was so kind and really professional: he picked up at our hotel to go together to the Salt Mines of Wieliczka, where the tickets for the entrance were already ready in his hands; at the end, he took us back directly in front of our hotel.
The tour in the mine is wonderful with excellent guides.
Overall, a very nice experience and a very good service!

First class driver and tour guide - The whole trip to the Salt Mines was great. The driver Karol kept us informed about being on time for pickup at the Hotel. And was informative on the journey about the sights on the journey. He explained the procedure for the day and was on time to pick us up after the tour. He provided a very good service from start to finish.

Organization - transport - Perfect organization.
We received a call the day before the tour with the times.
Max Szkatula our driver arrived on time, his good humor immediately put us at ease.

The Kinga cathedral at... - The Kinga cathedral at the bottom was amazing. The actual getting there was awful. We knew about the steps but the group was far too big and you couldn’t always hear because of all the other groups around you.

Did not join the tour as they did not do the hotel pick-up as advertised - I had read the reviews and saw that some people were stranded at their hotels waiting for a pick-up which never happened. So in addition to specifying the hotel at the time of booking I also contacted the provider through Viator and e-mail. They wrote me that they will get back to me at 4pm about the pick-up time. Then at 7pm they told me that can't do a hotel pick-up and also no pick-up from the designated pick-up point. Instead I had to go 2 kms from my hotel to a prick-up point of their choosing. First I thought I have no choice but then did not feel safe about these changes and the communication so I called Viator customer service. I did not attend the tour and Viator did not refund my payment. So this tour organsiser wins if you contact them about your hotel or not. I would call it this disnoesty or scaming customers and such providers should not be on Viator. Be warned!
