On this journey, you will delve 140 metres beneath the earth’s surface to investigate captivating salt-made chambers and passageways. Get informed about the origins of salt extraction and observe genuine mining machinery. Your guide, who is fluent in English, will lead you on a nearly three-kilometre-long tour that lasts 2.5 hours.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Each traveler is allowed a maximum size of any baggage allowed Wieliczka Salt Mine is 30x20x10 cm
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel
- Temperatures underground ranges between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius so please bring warm clothing.
- There are 800 steps to climb so please wear comfortable shoes.
- Taking photographs for private purposes only
- Roundtrip transportation is available from most centrally located Krakow hotels. Please arrange pickup from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation. You are required to wait at the reception 5 minutes before your scheduled pickup time.
- Students must bring valid Student ID to receive a youth discount and keep it for the whole tour

Pick up on time at hotel close to flat. Only half hour drive. Plenty to see in salt mine and good tour guide. Shops with good va - Visit to salt mine. Easily booked in travel shop though could have been slightly cheaper online. Half hour drive. Plenty to see in salt mine and no climbing up stairs. Shop had good items to buy and cafe not too expensive.

Fantastic place and great driver. - Karol our driver was early to pick us up which suited us perfectly, he was also very friendly and chatty throughout the whole journey answering any questions we had about the city of Krakow or the trip. We had a great experience.

A must do if you are in Krakow, Incredible ! - Our driver Peter was excellent.
He spoke great English ,took good care of us and gave us an insight into life in Poland. We would thoroughly recommend him! He does all trips and his driving is excellent.

Trip time changed with insufficient notice so didn't actually get to go! - We especially booked a trip to the Salt Mines with an 11.45 hotel pick up, only for it to be changed to 7.20 the evening before. We were eating out and didn't see a message regarding the change and hence received a phone call at 7.20 am asking if we would be getting on the coach? Not only was the time changed but also the pickup location. We were going on the trip with friends who we were meeting mid morning. There was a reason for us booking 11.45 and no alternative was offered. As it was Easter weekend, there were no tickets available if we took alternative transport. Very disappointed not to go to the Salt Mines and still awaiting a response to a refund request.
