Awesome full-service dive shop on Bonaire - For our first trip to Bonaire, we chose Dive Friends for an Open Water referral course in addition to our host dive shop during our eight-night stay. We selected Dive Friends for its convenient locations near our hotel and across the island, allowing us to maximize shore diving opportunities. Their network of shops made it easy to grab tanks, rinse gear, and avoid unnecessary travel. After our stay, I can confidently say it was the perfect choice. During our trip, we visited three Dive Friends locations with house reefs, which allowed us to safely leave valuables in the car or check them in with the staff. We could easily exchange tanks, rinse gear, and even shower after dives. The shop’s daily hours (8 AM–5 PM) were sufficient with proper planning. With our unlimited air package, we could check out two tanks per person at a time, ensuring we always had full tanks ready for early morning or evening dives. For my orientation dive, Koa was a fantastic guide, pointing out all kinds of marine life—from red fish to blue fish and everything in between. Another diver in our group was brand new and struggled with equalizing. I watched as Koa calmly assisted them, ensuring they worked through the issue and allowing the dive to continue smoothly. Camilla handled my dive buddy’s Open Water referral course. While I didn’t train with her directly, from what I saw and overheard, she was thorough and dedicated to preparing new divers for a safe experience. If you're looking to get certified by Camilla, be prepared to demonstrate full mastery of your skills—she doesn’t cut corners! We also booked a trip to Klein Bonaire with Dive Friends. Our boat captain, Jason, provided a safe and entertaining trip, complete with an unexpected and unforgettable encounter with a pod of dolphins, which stayed with us far longer than I would have imagined—much to everyone's delight. At our home base shop at Delfins, Evaa and Ben were not only knowledgeable and helpful but also added humor to our day, making every visit enjoyable. Midway through the trip, I ran into an issue with my high-pressure hose, which began leaking on my Sherwood Wisdom 2 air-integrated dive computer. Given its age and quick-disconnect feature, I was unsure if it could be repaired. The staff at the main Dive Friends shop assured me it could be fixed, though I would lose the quick disconnect. It was an easy decision. We went across the street for lunch, and by the time we returned, the computer was fully repaired and ready to dive again. Super simple and back to diving! Since my dive buddy wasn’t quite ready for a night dive, I signed up for a guided UV night dive. Our guide, Jack, provided an excellent experience, giving us the freedom to explore while maintaining a safe level of oversight. Talking with Jack post-dive, I was blown away by his vast firsthand knowledge of the dive industry and global destinations. While I can't compare Dive Friends directly to other shops on the island, I can say without hesitation that I would absolutely recommend them. Their staff, service, repair capabilities, training, and guiding all make them a first-class operation.

Superb CS!! - Team at Hamlet Oasis was so awesome!! The do require a buoyancy check off the first dive. Take advantage of the reef there.

Great experience at Dive Friends - Everything happens for a reason…the dive shop we originally had reservations with wasn’t able to accommodate our group of four. Luckily for us, they suggested Dive Friends at the Hamlet. Once we arrived at Dive Friends and met Monique, we were happy the original dive shop messed up our reservation. Monique took the time to answer all of our questions and also gave us great suggestions for dives and restaurants/stores. Her knowledge of the marine life was amazing! Learned a lot from her about the island. Thanks for going over and beyond to give us a great experience in Bonaire!

They made it all so simple. - Everything I wanted in a dive shop. Infinite tanks, great boat dives, and a super helpful team made it so easy to get in the water. I averaged 4 dives a day easily, because the logistics were so smooth. The store crew were very helpful, Daniel and Stephanie. At the sand dollar location, Jason, Brett, Denise, Lars, and “Lazy Darcy” in the shop were amazing. (worst nickname ever btw - he was there every time I took a tank!) I did 4 boat trips and loved all of them Joan, Sara, Dustin were spectacular.

Great friendly dive shop - Fantastic dive shop!! We had two junior divers finish their certification and then we did multiple boat dives. The entire team was wonderful and accommodation with our group which included junior divers. We especially LOVED Denise!!!

Ask for Elizabeth!!! - Went to Bonaire and did my initial open water dive certification with Dive Friends and specifically Elizabeth, and it was amazing! She was a knowledgeable and patient instructor and I learned a ton. She was fun, easy going, and helped our class get comfortable quickly. 10/10 would go to her again. Ended up doing 9 dives and loved Bonaire. Great experience!!!

Daniel and Team were awesome! - Our first trip to Bonaire was made more special by the team at Dive Friends. We did the 6 day unlimited plus equipment, and a boat trip to Klein Bonaire. Everyone was friendly and professional. I was especially appreciative of Daniel, who helped us plan our first dives and even recommended a local dinner cruise to help make my daughter’s 21st birthday special.

Advanced Diving course Bonaire 2/2924 - We just completed the advanced diver certification with Davida, Stephen and Jack. They were very professional and experienced dive masters. They did a great job with teaching and explaining all the key points and were great divers. I would highly recommend them I must also give a shout out to Mira who helped structure all the dives. They were very accommodating with planning the 5 dives. I also have to thank Davida Davida Davida Davida for rescuing me when I went out of the confined space during my check out dive. I also have to thank Andy Andy Andy Andy with his help in switching out my regulator when it was leaking Thank you all so much for a great experience and we learned so much

Dive Friends the one stop dive shop! - Dive Friends is a full service operation. We booked a 7-day unlimited air pkg for 4 people. Beyond air, it was great to have so many locations to get air & team member always helpful with advice on the current site, the next site & tips on trim & buoyancy. No one ever wants to have emergency service on their reg but I had a leak in my second stage & worried water had gotten into my first stage. Andy was my hero, he said he could get it in that afternoon & found a sand pebble & I was able to dive next day without a full service! Additionally Steven took us on a great boat dive at Klein. So friendly & helpful. Cheers to Andy & Steven! Dive Friends truly is a one-stop shop. We’ll be using again & again!
