Setting Sail to Brac Island

The sun was just beginning to rise over the Adriatic Sea as I boarded the ferry from Split, Croatia, bound for the enchanting island of Brac. The promise of olive oil tasting and a day of exploration had me buzzing with excitement. Upon arriving in Škrip, the oldest settlement on Brac, I was greeted by our English-speaking guide, who led us through the charming streets to the Olive Oil Museum. The museum was a treasure trove of history, showcasing the traditional methods of olive oil production that have been passed down through generations.

As I tasted the rich, golden olive oil, I was reminded of the simple pleasures in life. The oil was smooth and flavorful, a testament to the island’s fertile soil and the dedication of its people. It was a moment of pure bliss, much like catching the perfect wave on a sun-drenched afternoon.

A View from Vidova Gora

After a delightful lunch featuring local delicacies, we made our way to Vidova Gora, the highest peak on the Adriatic islands. The view from the top was nothing short of breathtaking, with the town of Bol and its famous beach stretching out below us.

Standing there, I felt a sense of freedom and connection to the world around me. It was a feeling I often experience when I’m out on the water, riding the waves and feeling at one with the ocean. The beauty of Brac was undeniable, and I was grateful for the opportunity to experience it in such an authentic way.
