A must! - A private driver picks you up at your hotel and subject to where you're staying, it is approximately an 2½ - 3 hour journey from Siem Reap. Upon arrival, you are greeted by a local tour guide where your tour of transportation is using a Tuk Tuk vehicle. Due to unforeseen circumstances of my own, I was unable to complete the whole tour as planned but thoroughly enjoyed the activities I was able to participate in. The guide did an impromptu stop at the local food market which was fascinating; dog meat and bird sh!T chilli for sale! Riding on the bamboo train was fun but it broke down twice; lol but I was able to complete the journey. Just be prepared for a local shopping point during the train break by a local family! The tour guide was VERY knowledgeable and courteous.

Great day at Battambang - Great day, Ghia drove us from Riem Seap to Battambang then we transferred to a TukTuk with Kim as our driver/guide. Kim had a great knowledge of the history of the area and was very happy to make our visit a day to remember. A lot of fun on the bamboo train and a sobering time at the killing cave & frog cave. Well worth the trip, would recommend to anyone.

A day very well spent - A very memorable and unique experience made extra nice by our guide Mr.Kim on his tuktuk. After a quick drive around the mail town, the first and possibly the most unique experience was Bamboo train which I think may be only available in Battambang, Cambodia. Imagine sitting on a train but open on all four sides and open top, close to the tracks and still I don't think we can adequately describe how it felt. Really amazing. Then we saw a suspension bridge. Pretty similar to any other shaky suspension bridge but this one had booked plying on it :). This was followed by fruit bats viewing which Mr.Kim made more interesting by somehow making them all fly around. We then drove through rice fields and fruit trees where the aforementioned bats cone to feed on the evening. We then visited the mountain where there is a mountain top temple and the infamous killing caves where the Khmer rouge killed a lot of people. The final highlight was the viewing of millions of insect eating bats flying out in amazing formations close to sunset for their daily feeding. All in all a long yet eventful and unforgettable day despite the 2-3 hours long drives back and forth from Siem Reap to Battambang. A highly recommended experience.

Absolutely recommended! - This day trip is a must if you only have one day to visit Battambang from Siem Reap. You will visit funny places and it will help you to know local people and to understand the recent history of the country. Mr. Kim will make you remember this day for a very long time.

Kim was the best tour guide ever! - We had a blast riding the bamboo train, visiting temples and seeing a million bats fly across the sky but the best part of all was hearing Kim's stories and experiences of growing up in Cambodia. Kim, was an amazing guide and after the trip one we would love to call our friend.

Nani the tour guide was fantastic - A very enjoyable and organised tour. Transfer from Siem Reap to Battambang via car, then to tuktuk for the city and countryside tour was seamless with good communication between the drivers. My tour guide Nani was helpful and polite, and was good at explaining the history and importance of each place we visited. He had great knowledge of the area, offering different options and ways to see things - after the bats began to fly out of the cave at sunset, he took me to the fields where they were flying to and it was such a surreal experience! If I were to do this day tour again, I would definitely choose to go with Nani.

Book this amazing tour - This tour is just so great. We didn’t have time to stay in Battambang so thought of doing this trip from Siem reap. When the driver arrived we could choose the music for the journey there, which was a lovely touch. Once we arrived at Battambang we had the lovely and very knowledgeable Kim. We throughly enjoyed Kim’s history knowledge throughout the day. We could take our time at each stop and we never felt rushed. This was one of the highlights and I’m so glad we didn’t skip this part of Cambodia. You will not be disappointed it’s such a great trip. Thank you Kim.

Wonderful trip and guide. - We stayed at a hotel in Siem Reap and this tour started with a three hour taxi to Battambang where we were then met by a tuk tuk ( Remorque ) driven by Mr Kim for about six hours. The only negative on the whole trip was the transfer to Battambang where the taxi driver repeatedly received and sent text/SMS messages whilst driving until told by me to stop. Completely unacceptable on Cambodia's dangerous roads. Mr Kim was a super guide on his motorbike driven tuk tuk. He was also a super photographer for our travels. He had sound knowledge of the itinerary and willingly shared his families experiences of Cambodia's recent past. The bamboo Train was a highlight, 4km each way with a short stop at a local stall. It was always unhurried and Mr Kim's English was superb. Other highlights were to a swinging bridge, tree of fruit bats and a hilltop shrine/temple. The Killing Cave was harrowing but an essential visit. Lunch superb. 5* review thanks to the itinerary and Mr Kim.
