See Different Traditional Handicrafts (11:00am-1:00pm)
Making Rice Paper: Rice paper is a thin, translucent, edible paper made from rice flour and water. We will visit a family rice paper business and see how skills passed down through generations are used to make this delicate product.
Making Rice Wine: Rice wine is an alcoholic beverage made from fermented rice. It is a traditional drink for local people in Cambodia. We will visit a homemade distillery where rice wine is made using traditional methods from rice and yeast, fermented for a few days in clay jars before being distilled.
Making Dried Bananas: Watch the locals patiently slice bananas into thin pieces and dry them under the sun.
Making Bamboo Sticky Rice (Kro Lan): This healthy and well-known snack, cooked in pieces of fresh bamboo, is enjoyed by local travelers and farmers. You will see how it is made using natural ingredients such as raw sticky rice, black beans, coconut, and sugar. -

Bamboo Train Battambang - Stop: 4
Bamboo Train (3:00pm-4:00pm)
The Bamboo Train was once a vital mode of transportation for local people, used to transport goods, animals, rice, and people after the war. Now, it has become a popular and fun attraction for tourists. You will spend about an hour traveling from Odambang village to Osrolau village and back. (additional $5 per person) -
Battambang Bat Caves - Stop: 5
Visit Phnom Sampov Mountain - Killing Cave and Bat Cave (4:30pm-6:00pm)
To save time and energy, we will go up the mountain by renting a motorbike (you sit at the back) or car, but we can walk if you prefer. Halfway up the mountain, we will see a beautiful pagoda with various wall paintings. Then, we will visit the Killing Cave, where the Khmer Rouge killed many people. I will explain how this regime came to be and why so many people were killed. After that, we will continue to the top, where you will see a beautiful panoramic view of the Battambang region and its extensive green rice paddies.
Finally, it will be time to watch the bats take flight. Every evening, millions of bats fly to Tonle Sap to feed on mosquitoes and insects before returning in the morning.
