Bokor Mountain is the second highest hill in Cambodia and the only mountain in the south with the largest forest and a cliff overlooking the ocean. It became a town during French colonization, and some structures remain after being abandoned twice by the French and the Royal Government of Cambodia.
By booking this tour, the driver, who is also a local guide, will drop you off for a 20-minute walk where you may often see monkeys, gibbons, and occasionally hornbills. After this brief walk, the tour continues to the top to explore all the abandoned structures, including the Black Palace, old town, church, temple, and old hotels. After spending a few hours visiting these sites, the guide will take you to the Popokvil waterfall, where you can enjoy a bath (during the wet season only) and take a short walk around before returning to Kampot for lunch.
