- Phnom Sambok Pagoda - Phnom Sam Bok is the cultural and main tourist resort of Kratie province. The resort has good location and assured safety for tourists to visit. Phnom Sam Bok has been arranged as the tourist resort since the Sang Kum Reas Ni Yum time. The special features of Phnom Sam Bok are: - Closed to the western mountain foot, there is a big pond full of clearwater and natural plants. - The mountain has two peak, a dull peak and a pointed peak. On the mountain top, we can view the beautiful scene especially the Mekong River. - The mountain rich in big trees and birds. - There is a concrete stair stretching from the mountain foot to the top, and there are many resting place at the mountain. The travelers spend for 2 hours there.

Additional Information
This small town was relatively remote but brought to fame by the almost extinct Mekong River dolphins. The best spot to watch the dolphins is at the Kampi village, 15 km north from town. Dolphin watching is a very popular activity. It is estimated that there are less than 80 dolphins left and the best time to see them frolicking, sometimes in large groups, is in the late afternoon.

Awesome! - our trip to see the dolphins was great and it was made even better by our tour guide Hak. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, we saw many dolphins. We weren’t out on the river for too long as it was so hot however Hak drove us to a nearby small fishing village where we could relax and swim in the river. A lovely day 100% recommend!

A lovely dolphinny day - Our guide Bong Hak was brilliant & we saw many dolphins. He then took us to a local village to swim and relax. Very good day thank you so much. Hak was also a great photographer and has a good sense of humour:)

A must do experience - Amazing experience kayaking down the Mekong River. Our guide “Lucky” was super friendly and made sure we had the best time. 12km kayak with a stop for picnic on an island. We saw a pod of dolphins and spent 45mins being encircled by them and having a chance to really experience the Mekong and these incredible animals. We went in the morning but I can imagine that a trip ending in a sunset on the water would be something special

Wonderful tour with an amazing guide! - We had an absolute wonderful time on this tour. Mr. Hak was a knowledgeable, friendly and overall great tour guide. He explained a lot about the dolphins and area. He took the time to really show us Kratie and Kampi village. The tour is 100 percent worth it. We saw many of the rare dolphins. I would recommend this tour and I really hope you get Mr. Hak!

Perfect - Very nice guides and boat driver. They did their best while respect the dolphins. We got realy good views of them. I wanted to see mekong wagtail as well and they helped succesfully. A stop in an Island and a remote village as well. Perfect.

Excellent experience - Pickup was prompt and the driver Hak was an excellent guide - spoke great English and gave lots of interesting information about the Kratie area on the drive. Our boat driver let us stay on the river for a good few hours and we spotted plenty of those dolphins - great fun scanning the water and trying to catch them surfacing! Wonderful experience for a good price, would recommend to anybody staying in Kratie.

Spectacular experience - The tuk tuk driver (Morning) was prompt and spoke excellent English. He gave interesting insights into the countryside, the lifestyles of villagers in the places we passed through, and Cambodian culture in general. The boat driver knew exactly where to go for the best dolphin viewing. These dolphins are quite shy and breach the surface only momentarily before diving again. He patiently pointed them out to me until I was able to spot them myself. I spent a quiet enchanting time watching several dolphins playing near the boat. It was a superb day made even more special by the engaging and friendly tuk tuk driver. Highly recommended.

Fabulous tour to the Mekong Dolphins - Was picked up at the bus station by the guide (forgot his name) who drove me to the boat, showed me the dolphins as well as a temple on a close by mountain. As it was raining, we went for lunch in a restaurant near by.
Was extemely nice that the times were flexible since I arrived at 12 by bus and had to leave again at 5pm.
