Angkor Wat Sunrise Small tour
Angkor Wat - Day1
In the early morning at 4:40, we pick up all tourists from their hotels and head to Angkor Wat for the sunrise. This complex is the largest monument in the world and features masterful Hindu scriptures. It is one of the seven finest world heritage sites. Afterward, we return to the hotel for a one-hour breakfast break. Next, we visit the south gate of Angkor Thom, known as the city of gods in the Khmer empire, and explore the ancient dam-surrounded areas. We then proceed to the West gate. Additionally, we drive to Bayon Temple, which has many faces on the four sides of its towers, representing the four noble minds of Buddha with serene smiles and peaceful icons. Our next stop is the East gate for photo opportunities. After that, we continue to Ta Nie, a ruin complex in the jungle. We then visit Ta Prohm, known as the Tomb Raider temple, which was dedicated to the king’s mother or served as an ancient Buddhist university. The temple is famous for its anaconda trees growing on the galleries and the sounds of cicadas and parrots around the temple enclosures. We take a one-hour lunch break. Next, we visit Bat Chum and Kravan, brick towers built in the 9th century. Lastly, we return to the hotel.
Grand tour and Angkor Thom Temple
Angkor Wat - Day 2 In the morning at 8:00, we visit Ba Phoun, Pimean Akas, and Preah Parilay in Angkor Thom. We then move to Preah Khan, built by King Jayavarman VII and dedicated to his father. This large monastic complex served as a Buddhist monastery and school, housing over 1000 monks. We continue to Neak Pean, a small island temple located in the middle of the last Barray, constructed by a Khmer King in the Angkor area. We then visit the nearby Ta Som temple, a small but classic structure. We take a one-hour lunch break. Afterward, we head to Pre Rup, a temple constructed in the late 10th century and dedicated to Hindu gods. It is believed that funerals were conducted at this temple until sunset, offering a view of colorful clouds in the early evening. Finally, we return to the hotel.
Bonteay Srie, Rolous Group and Floating Village
Angkor Archaeological Park - Day 3 In the early morning at 8:00, we travel to Banteay Srei, also known as the Ladies’ temple. Built from pink sandstone in the mid-10th century by Hindu King Rajendravarman II, it is dedicated to the trinity gods of Hinduism, mainly Shiva, and Banteay Samre. Next, we move to Kampong Pluk, the second-largest freshwater body in the world, which is central to Cambodia’s fishing industry during the full season and serves as waterways and farmland during the dry season. We take a lunch break at noon and then continue to Preah Ko, named after the three sandstone statues in front of and facing the temple’s central towers. We then visit Bakong, the first temple mountain made of sandstone, constructed in the shape of a stepped pyramid. On the way back, we stop at Artisan d’Angkor, known for its traditional craft skills, including stone carving, wood carving, lacquering, gilding, and silk processing. Finally, we return to the hotel for the night.
