• Angkor Thom - Angkor Thom, situated in modern-day Cambodia, was the final and most enduring capital of the Khmer Empire, established in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII.

• Ta Prohm - Known as the “Tomb Raider” movie temple, Ta Prohm is the contemporary name for the temple at Angkor, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. Constructed in the Bayon style, it dates back to the late 12th and early 13th centuries and was originally named Rajavihara.

• Preah Khan - Preah Khan is a 12th-century temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built by King Jayavarman VII in honor of his father. Located northeast of Angkor Thom and west of the Jayatataka baray, it was the center of a large organization with nearly 100,000 officials and servants.

• Neak Pean - Neak Pean, at Angkor, Cambodia, is an artificial island featuring a Buddhist temple on a circular island in Jayatataka Baray, associated with the Preah Khan temple. Constructed during King Jayavarman VII’s reign, it is the “Mebon” of the Preah Khan baray and is located on the grand circuit.

• Baksei Chamkrong - Baksei Chamkrong is a small Hindu temple in the Angkor complex near Phnom Bakheng Hill. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it once housed a golden image of him. The temple is visible on the left when entering Angkor Thom through the southern gate and was dedicated to Yasovarman by his son, King Harshavarman I.

Avoid the inconvenience of visiting the ticket office by purchasing your 1-, 3-, or 7-day Angkor Archaeological Park pass ahead of time. Instead of standing in line to buy your pass on the day of your visit—which can be especially troublesome if you’re planning to see Angkor Wat at sunrise—your pass will be delivered to your hotel the evening before. This allows you to head straight to temples like Ta Prohm and Banteay Samre without any delay.
