Unforgettable Visit to Angkor with Mr. Sam - My partner and I were so fortunate to have an unforgettable visit to some of Angkor’s most famous temples thanks to Mr. Sam, our private guide, and Mr. Rit, our driver. Mr. Sam’s knowledge of Angkor’s history and Cambodia’s history in general was immense - he had a thorough, detailed answer for every question we had and made us feel like we were walking around with Cambodia’s personal historian! Seeing the sights themselves was breathtaking but learning about them with Mr. Sam made the experience even more astounding. If you have the opportunity to take a private tour of Angkor and are really looking to understand the history and significance of the ancient city, we highly suggest you ask for Mr. Sam! Thank you, Mr. Sam, for such a wonderful visit!

Amazed with Angkor Wat - Our tour with Chea Sok and driver Keal was absolutely amazing. Sok was very knowledgeable and we were able to learn so much about Angkor Wat and the surrounding area. He also took phenomenal photos of us which we will treasure forever! Highly recommend a tour with these two if you are headed to Angkor Wat!

Great tour, friendly tour guide - Sam was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The driver gave out cold towels after each stop and refilled water bottles with icy cold water which was much appreciated in the heat

Must do - The temples are better with a tour, and the tour is better with Bun from Journey Cambodia. The temples are magnificent anyway, but it was a much richer experience thanks to learning about the Hindu and Buddhist artwork, the history of the buildings, and the cultural and historic context of Cambodia. Plus they know the best photo spots, time of day to visit each attraction, and how to avoid crowds. We had an excellent time on this tour, we were kept very comfortable and felt looked after. As a guide Bun is the consummate professional; courteous, friendly, informative and ready for questions. He provides an endless supply of knowledge, bottled water and hand sanitiser. Our driver Paul was no less of an expert, he was hyper vigilant and careful during the new year weekend (while the road is lined with people throwing water) and we could see we were in very safe hands. The crowds are very low post covid, despite the Cambodian new year holiday (April 14-16). The lull in tourism has also meant the macaques aren't being fed and have moved back in to the forest, so we were thankfully not bothered by monkeys.

Walking Around An Ancient Kingdom with a Modern Guide - I can’t say enough amazing things about this tour and our guide Mr. Sam. I’m a very curious tour participant and I ask a lot of questions. Me. Sam was all game. There wasn’t a single answer he didn’t have to any of the questions myself or my friend asked. He went into great detail about the Khmer Rouge regime when I asked about it even though it had nothing to do with the trip we were on. Back to that though; Angkor Wat is one of the main reasons I wanted to come to SE Asia. I’ve wanted to see this stunning structure for years and was afraid I was hyping it up too much for it to not meet my expectations. I was delightfully proven incorrect. The structures are beautiful, and the history is fascinating, delivered with humour and engagement in a way that I can be forever grateful for. Thank you so much Mr. Sam, you made this experience something that will truly never be forgotten.
