Highlights
  • Angkor Wat - Watch the sunrise over the largest religious complex in the world! Angkor Wat has to be experienced to be believed, and sunrise is the best experience of all, guided by our local Khmer experts. We leave the hostel early!

  • Angkor Thom - Angkor Thom was the latter capital of the Angkor Empire. The road takes us through the famous South Gate, lined with gods and demons locked in an eternal tug-of-war. The temple of Bayon at the centre of the site is lined with countless beatific carved faces, gazing eternally at the surrounding forest.

  • Ta Prohm - Ta Prohm is a picturesque and attractive ruin partially retaken by jungle. It is also known as ‘the Tomb Raider temple’, made famous by Angelina Jolie in the 2001 film.

  • Banteay Kdei - Banteay Kdei is also known as ‘the citadel of monk’s cells’. It is partially overgrown with towering, sinous trees. The silk cotton tree roots weaving their way through the stones of the ruined walls is a famously beautiful sight.

  • Ta Keo - Ta Keo was never finished, and as such has a very different aspect to most of the Angkor temples. It’s square, layered-pyramid shape makes it one of the more dramatic sites on the tour and climbing the terraces affords some beautiful views over the jungle.

  • Phnom Bakheng - [Only for sunset tours]

Phnom Bakheng is a hilltop temple built hundreds of years before Angkor Wat. It is also one of the best places to watch the sunset in Cambodia, as it overlooks Angkor Wat itself.

Best way to experience Angkor Wat - We did the sunrise tour with Sam Vone, who is such a jolly, happy guide. He picked us up in a tuk-tuk at 4:30 and then led us by bike through the dark and found the best spot to see the sun rise over Angkor Wat. Throughout the day, he answered all our questions, found us water and stopped whenever the oppressive, dry season heat got to us, and took us both on and off road between the most iconic temples. He knows the best spots for photos, and stopped at a village market to buy some unique fruits we had never seen before. Highly recommend!!

Angkor Wat sunset bike tour - My husband and I did the sunset bike tour and it was fantastic. Stinking hot day but we managed to finish it. Our tour guide Sam Vone was very very good and went into great detail about the history of the temples. He was also a very good photographer and took same beautiful photos of us at the sites visited. Would highly recommend this tour and Sam.

Great bike tour with excellent guide - Our sunset biking tour was wonderful. Pum was a really excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He went out of his way to make sure that everyone in our group was comfortable and that we saw all the things we were interested in. In addition, the sites themselves, and especially Angkor Wat, are truly spectacular, and visiting them by bike was great.

Sunrise bike tour - Our family went on the sunrise Angkor Wat sunrise bike tour with Vone. He was a friendly, knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humour. The trip was 10 hours and involved 30 km of biking on the flat to 4 incredible temples.

Great bicycle tour covering the highlights! - Great tour! We used the tour as an introduction to the temple complex, and it was perfect for that. Vone was a wonderful, knowledgeable and funny guide. Thank you!

One was number one. - One was our guide and we really enjoyed his commentary and patience. My only recommendation for the tour group would be to equip bikes with lights as it was dark riding on roads and paths for sunrise tour. Assume a sunset tour would have the same situation. If not bring a flashlight.

Fabulous cycle tour around Angkor - What an amazing experience. Great day tour. We were picked up by tuktuk and taken to the hostel to meet Won our guide. The bikes were quality mountain bikes with good gears and brakes and helmet supplied. The tour was a full day we left around 10am and got back about 6:30pm, great value. Won knew exactly where to go and how to avoid the busy places as we visited on a festival day. He knew so much about the history and detail of all the temples and took us to all the best photo spots. The sunset stop was truly magical and we wouldn’t have found it without Won who has excellent English and a great sense of humour. Lunch location was pricey but good and no hassle anywhere. Can highly recommend.

BEST Angkor Wat Tour - This is the best way to experience Angkor Wat temples! Our guide, Vone, picked us up at our hotel before sunrise in his tuk tuk and we were off and away on our bikes cruising through the empty morning streets of Siem Reap. A short ride later and we arrived at the famous Angkor Wat temple and Vone brought us to a great vantage point to capture the sunrise over the towers. After sunrise we walked around the grounds for while and then we’re back on our bikes cruising to more temples and a great breakfast spot. Our path was mostly along a well-paved separated bike road. The times we were on the main road was not worrisome at all as everyone drives slowly, and traffic is very minimal. Cyclist of all capabilities can easily enjoy this beautiful ride, just be prepared to get very sweaty as you'll only experience AC at the breakfast restaurant. Vone was extremely friendly and full of amazing information about everything in the area. He is even a top-notch photographer and wielded my iPhone camera like a pro. We came away with spectacular photos and memories of our time at Angkor Wat.

Ankgor Sunset Bike Tour NOT :(( - Horrible. They canceled the tour and i did not get message until the morning i was supposed to be picked up. I was out all day the previous morning day and did not see message. Apparently no one else booked and they should have stated that there was a minimum or not taken my money. It ruined my entire schedule. I stayed in Siem Reap with the intent to go 2 days and bought the 3 day pass. One sunrise and one sunset, the latter being w this tour group. To travel this distance and not go was highly disappointing. Will never book anything through trip advisor again. I have heard others complain but no ive experienced it myself.
