Our journey commences early in the morning at 4:30am from the hotel, set to witness the breathtaking sunrise at Angkor Wat across the pond. Post sunrise, our exploration continues towards the primary temple of Angkor Wat and other temples in the Angkor complex. Angkor, a significant archaeological location in Southeast Asia, spans over an area of 400 km2, inclusive of forest region. The Angkor Archaeological Park holds the splendid remains of various Khmer Empire capitals from the 9th to the 15th century, comprising the renowned Temple of Angkor Wat and the Bayon Temple at Angkor Thom, celebrated for its numerous sculptural decorations. A comprehensive conservation program is being undertaken by UNESCO to protect this emblematic site and its environs.
