Built in the late 12th to early 13th century as the state temple of King Jayavarman VII, it stands at the center of Jayavarman’s capital, Angkor Thom. The temple features the smiling faces of Buddha on each tower, facing in all directions. There is much to discover in this temple region. Duration of visit: 2 hours.
- Ta Keo - Ta Keo is one of the tallest monuments in Angkor. Built by Jayavarman V in the 10th century, it is located just east of Angkor Thom. This Hindu temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, was left unfinished after being struck by lightning, which was considered a bad omen by the king. From the top, you can enjoy views of the surrounding nature. Duration of visit: 1 hour.
