• Banteay Srei - Next, explore Banteay Srei, often referred to as the lady temple. This 10th-century temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva and is situated 40 km north of Siem Reap city. Constructed primarily from red sandstone, Banteay Srei is renowned for its exceptional preservation, compact size, and exquisite decoration.
• Beng Mealea - Following Phnom Kulen, we’ll proceed to Beng Mealea. This intriguing Hindu temple also features some Buddhist motifs. While the history of Beng Mealea remains unclear, it is considered a smaller replica of Angkor Wat, suggesting it was built around the same time. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, Beng Mealea is a popular destination, yet its distance from Siem Reap town means fewer visitors, allowing for a more tranquil exploration compared to the bustling Angkor Wat.
• Roluos - Visit the earliest temples of the Khmer Empire in Angkor, now known as Roluos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Roluos comprises three temples: Preah Ko, Bakong, and LoLei.
• Kampong Phluk Floating Village - Kampong Phluk, the floating village on the floodplain of Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake, Tonle Sap, features houses built on stilts 6-8 meters high to stay above water during the monsoon season. You’ll take a roofed and seated cruise to reach the villages and the lake, with a chance to witness a stunning sunset.
