A Sunrise to Remember

As a digital nomad, I often find myself chasing sunrises in different corners of the world. But the one I witnessed at Angkor Wat was truly unforgettable. The day began with an early morning pickup from my hostel in Siem Reap. The vintage Jeep, with its open-air design, was a refreshing change from the usual modes of transport. Walking through Ta Prohm, I was reminded of scenes from the movie “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” which was filmed here. Our final stop was the Bayon Temple, located within the ancient city of Angkor Thom. Known for its serene stone faces, Bayon Temple was a photographer’s dream. As we explored the temple, our guide explained the significance of the stone faces and the history of Angkor Thom. The Victory Gate, with its imposing structure, stood as a reminder of the city’s past glory and resilience. It was a fitting end to a day filled with exploration, history, and unforgettable experiences.
