- Kbal Spean - We will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Kbal Spean, an archaeological site from the Angkorian era located on the southwest slopes of the Kulen Hills, northeast of Angkor. This site is along a 150m stretch of the Stung Kbal Spean River, 25 kilometers from the main Angkor monuments. It features a series of stone carvings in sandstone formations along the riverbed and banks. Known as the “Valley of a 1000 Lingas” or “The River of a Thousand Lingas,” the carvings primarily depict numerous lingams (phallic symbols of the Hindu god Shiva) arranged in neat patterns on the sandstone bedrock, along with lingam-yoni designs. Additionally, there are various Hindu mythological motifs, including depictions of gods such as Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Lakshmi, Rama, and Hanuman, as well as animals like cows and frogs.
- Banteay Srei - Next, we visit Banteay Srei, a pink sandstone temple constructed by King Rajendravarman V in the late 10th century. The walls of Banteay Srei are densely adorned with some of the most beautiful, deep, and intricate carvings found in any Angkorian temple.
- Banteay Samre - Finally, we visit Banteay Samre, a temple located east of the East Baray. Built under Suryavarman II and Yasovarman II in the early 12th century, this Hindu temple is designed in the Angkor Wat style. After the visit, we will return you to your hotel and drop you off.

Slip into your hiking gear and explore the depths of Cambodia’s wilderness! Secluded and off the mainstream route, Kbal Spean awaits with the “River of a Thousand Lingas” and a majestic waterfall. Reaching the peak of Kbal Spean to admire the delicately chiseled stone river bed requires tackling a somewhat sharp ascent. However, don’t be discouraged - the pathway is thoroughly treaded and the major hurdles and rocks are navigated through a sequence of well preserved wooden steps. Nonetheless, at least an intermediate fitness level is necessary for this 3km jungle trek. On your way back, you’ll stop by the quaint temple of Banteay Srei, renowned for its exquisite designs carved in warm pink sandstone. This compact piece of architectural brilliance from the late 10th century significantly differs from the other Angkorian temples. To conclude the day, you can visit the often-overlooked Banteay Samre – a larger temple, which is especially picturesque in the late afternoon radiance.
