Great experience - Happy Tear was a great guide. Was very informative and enthusiastic about the floating village and local culture. The village itself was amazing and I’d definitely recommend visiting.

10/10 Recommend this tour - I booked this tour through Onederz Hostel in Siem Reap based off a google review I read about such a great experience, and honestly I was blown away. This was probably the best $20 I’ve spent and the best tour I’ve been on. I don’t even leave reviews and felt that this was due a thorough rating which is 10/10. Our guide Meng did a phenomenal job from beginning to end. We took the bus to the floating village, which felt like no time at all because Meng did such a good job. We stopped for a bathroom break and given a full cold bottle of water before getting on the boat. Then we toured the village, got off to walk around, taken to a small boat area where you get in a canoe through a forest (which I highly recommend doing for the additional $5), afterwards we could get drinks or snacks to take on the boat to go watch the sunset. Nothing better than ending a tour with a beer and the sunset. The whole time Meng was pointing out buildings, explaining Cambodian culture, enthusiastic, and even took photos for us that he sent at the end. I could not be happier that I decided to go and would say it was a highlight of my time in Cambodia. Thanks Meng!

Great trip to see the local village - Amazing small group trip to the floating village. Our guide Meng was super enthusiastic and shared interesting facts about the village and the people there and Cambodia in general. Due to the water level we were even able to walk some steps within a part of the village. This was amazing! The boat ride was also awsome especially the sun set on the lake. There was an optional activity a short canu ride (it was just 5.50$ per Person), however it was not really worth it. We made it to support the local woman but the canu ride itself was neither beautiful nor long… Also a special thanks to our great Mini-Van Driver Tha who ensured a safe journey and provided much needed cold water for us.

Very nice experience - Interesting tour to understand the way of life in floating villages. Jack is an amazing guide, very warm and friendly. He brought us a lot of cultural and personal information with a smile and humor. Thank you Jack and Mr Play boy! We really enjoyed going through the village without entering the privacy of the families (voyeurism was our main fear and it is not). We probably will not do the boat ride in the mangroves again which was optional ($5 extra). Even if the money is given to the community of women who ride the boat, the charm is lost by the impressive number of boats that follow in Indian line.

A wholesome evening - Wonderful insight into a small area of Cambodian culture; the locals were lovely and the trip itself was beautiful, especially while rowing through the mangroves, and watching the sunset. Our tour guide Jack made it the brilliant experience that it was.

Mangrove shoreline awe - This was a surprisingly good tour. The small boat through the mangroves was really cool (though extra) and it's all just so different. The bus was great (even if I got unlucky and sat on the fold out chair). The view of the lake and the mangrove "shoreline" was something to behold.
